Do I have to find another Sneaker?
#1
I have been wearing New Balance Sneakers (NB) for many years now, because they fit my feet comfortably.

This morning, this statement below was posted on social media.

A white supremacist blogger (Pepe the Frog) and self-described internet troll has declared New Balance sneakers (NB) "the official shoes of White people" and encouraged his readers to buy them "so we will be able to recognize one another by our sportswear."

I am not a "white supremacist", and don't want to be associated with them, damn, I really don't want to have to find another sneaker brand. Hope that stupid blog doesn't catch on!

What brand do you wear, if it's NB will you still wear them?

hah

I say "fuck 'em", Cars. Wear your New Balance sneakers openly and proudly.

However, if you're really worried about Pepe's wide-reaching influence causing people to shun you........just cover the Ns on your sneakers with a jazzy sticker and no one will be the wiser.

This sticker looks like it would fit just right, for example.

Unfortunately when you google "old man sneakers" all that pops up is New Balance, so it looks like you might be stuck with them unless you want to try this pair by Everlast. They're $24.99 at Sears and the good news is you don't have to dick around with those pesky laces.

Another option is to just give up sneakers altogether and start wearing flip-flops year-round.

In the winter, you can wear them with toe-socks.

^ These seem safe from race-baiting troll attacks.

I mean, who doesn't like pastrami and cheese on rye?

The jews especially like pastrami on rye. I don't like where that's going either, could cause some trouble.

Shit, good point. I could see some thieving hooligans pegging Cars for a wealthy banker and things taking a dangerous turn.

Vans are comfortable, versatile, and this playful design pattern couldn't get you into hot water with anyone, Cars.

Don't just glaze over the Vans option; I think it might be a winner.

I don't know if you're being intentionally dense, but those could land his ass straight in jail or worse a police brutality case.

Are you kidding? The cops would eat those Vans up! I think the Van's lace/slip-on donut sneakers are Cars' safest best yet.

I'm sorry, Cars but it has caught on. It's worldwide now and if you value your safety I wouldn't leave home wearing them. I would suggest a pair of Nikes, they are accepted everywhere.

Shoot. Foiled again. There are indeed some super-sensitive cops with itchy trigger fingers on the beat.

Okay, this is my last shot at safe sneakers for Cars.

As long as you remain in Florida, don't attend any pro-Trump events, don't wear them on a date with Ann Coulter, and leave the sombrero at home so no one can construe them as poking fun..............these sneakers should be totally safe in public, Cars.

Well I wore my NB's to the store today, and no one seemed to give an acknowledging secret look, and or a pissed look, so, so far all is well!

I have Nike, Reebok, and Puma sneakers as well, but the NB's are the most comfortable, so NB's it is, being a "White Supremist" projection be damned! Smiley_emoticons_skeptisch

And Sal, not ready for Velcro shoes/sneakers yet! But the Sandwich floppers look interesting, never know when I might get hungry! hah

Thank you. I ordered them, if I'm attacked by a mob of angry Mexican hating Trump supporters it's your fault.

I also liked the taco Jesus hot sauce shoes, but that might being pushing it.

No wories, sal. I just had a blog chat with Pepe the Frog and we're on the same page.

Pepe's going to post an announcement (in Spanish, English and Pig Latin) informing his followers that people wearing smiley-taco sneakers are not supremists; rather, they just think there are a bunch of retarded people of every race, religion, and gender.

You're safe.
