Mags, do you have a link to the Huffington Post article you claim contains the OP statement? I haven't seen anything like it in all the coverage I've read at any legitimate site.

Also, the photo you posted from RT (state-run Russian TV) is not Alek Minassian. It is a widely-published photo of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in India.

Alek Minassian is pictured below.
[Image: skynews-alek-minassian-toronto-van-crash...0424070003]

Reports indicate that Minassian attended special education, was anti-social, was very adept with computer chips and image processing, and had no ties to terrorist groups.

When confronted by a Canadian cop after the vehicular massacre, Minassian claimed he had a gun and was going to shoot. The cop told him, "I don't care, get down!" Minassian begged the cop to kill him.

However, no shots were fired in the apprehension and Minassian now faces 10 counts of murder.

From the start, all signs pointed to this being an intentional act, not an accident. Motive under investigation.

The huffington post reference was a dig at that paper regarding their deference towards anything terrorist related, and the Trudeau picture was labeled as Minassian ...........more fake news.

I believe it was terrorism though until a better reason is shown.

It wasn't, not in the sense you mean. The killer referenced another killer as he was being arrested. I can't recall the name, it was someone who killed people out in California some time ago.

According to CNN reporting.............just before Monday's deadly attack, Minassian wrote on his Facebook page: "All hail the Supreme Gentleman Elliot Rodger!"

Rodger ^ is the rich entitled nutjob from Isla Vista who posted bizarre videos all over YouTube and was disgruntled about girls rejecting him. We covered that strange case at length in the ANOTHER PUBLIC SHOOTING thread.

Motive Emerging

Social media posts by Minassian, 25, paint a picture of an angry young man who was furious that women rejected his sexual advances.

In one post, he refers to the rebellion of 'incels' - a term used to refer to men who have been made 'involuntarily celibate' because women will not have sex with them.

He announced: 'The Incel Rebellion has already begun! We will overthrow all the Chads and Stacys!'

Chad is a term used to refer to sexually active men among the incel community. A Stacy is an attractive, cheerleader type who only sleeps with Chads, according to the incel definition. 'All hail the Supreme Gentleman Elliot Rodger!' he continued.

Elliot Rodger massacred six people at the University of California Santa Barbara in 2014, before killing himself. In a video he uploaded during the massacre, Rodger explained that he wanted to punish women for rejecting him, along with successful men whom he envied because they were sexually active.

It's looking like Minassian killed 10 people and injured 14 others, mostly women, because he couldn't get laid.

Seems like there was a reason why!

From what's been released so far, it looks like he was motivated by hate stemming from sexual frustration and envy; a copy cat of Elliot Rodger.

Minassian's mother posted sometime back that her son had Asperger's. Police haven't confirmed that, however.

He is a Canadian of Armenian descent. The vast majority of Armenians are Christians, though that's not stopping some ignorant commenters from insisting the attack must have been an act of Islamic terrorism based on his name/heritage.

Minassian's massacre took place on the anniversary of the Armenian genocide. There was also a G7 ministers' summit going down near the attack site.

At this point, Canadian LE has no evidence of any political motivations and don't think there's any link. But, they're undoubtedly investigating and ruling everything in or out in preparation for his prosecution.

I hope Minassian is talking up a storm to investigators.

You'd think it would make it impossible for anyone, much less one with Canadian ties, to seriously mistake him for the extreme-Chad Canadian Prime Minister too.

It's a strange case, for sure. But not as strange as your bogus version suggesting that Justin Trudeau mowed down a bunch of innocent Canadians in broad daylight and that HuffPost staff was writing it off as an accident because they're trying to hide the fact that it was really a case of religious terrorism.

Anyway, Minassian's attack is one of the worst mass murders in modern Canadian history -- surpassed only by the 1972 killing of 37 people in a fire set by drunks who were denied entry into a Montreal nightclub and the 1989 killing of 14 female engineering students who were shot to death by a man with a semi-automatic rifle because he blamed feminists for his problems. https://globalnews.ca/news/4166169/deadl...rs-canada/

Some of the younger ones blame their failures, in full or part, on attractive women not having sex with them; they're entitled to it, they seem to believe.

Misogynist groups advocating the rape and murder of women have grown to the extent that they just made the hate group list. Fucked up.

Also, like the older ones, they sometimes blame and project their failures and ire onto immigrants and people of color.

Minassian isn't the first mass murderer to worship Eliot Rodger either.

This wouldn’t be the first time a mass murderer blamed involuntary celibacy for his crimes.

In 2009, before the internet gave incels a known place to congregate, George Sodini walked into an L.A. Fitness gym in Pittsburgh and shot up a women’s aerobics class, killing four, including himself. Sodini left behind a blog where he detailed his plans and complained of rejection from women.

“There are 30 million desirable women in the US (my estimate) and I cannot find one. Not one of them finds me attractive,” he wrote.

Elliot Rodger, who Minassian referenced by name in his Facebook post, listed sexual frustration and a hatred for women as his chief motivation for his killing spree.

In his posts, Rodger spoke in language common among the incel and pickup communities, separating men into groups of alphas and betas and reducing women to entitlements which could be won or stolen.

Rodger closed his manifesto with: “All I ever wanted was to love women, and in turn to be loved by them back. Their behavior towards me has only earned my hatred, and rightfully so! I am the true victim in all of this. I am the good guy.”

In 2015, Chris Harper-Mercer killed nine and injured seven at a community college in Roseburg, Oregon before turning the gun on himself. In his journal, Harper wrote, “My whole life has been one lonely enterprise. One loss after another. And here I am, 26, with no friends, no job, no girlfriend, a virgin.”

In his writings, he identified with Rodger as well as other mass shooters, whom he described as “people who stand with the gods.”

In February Nikolas Cruz, the 19-year-old who shot and killed 17 students and teachers inside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, praised Rodger in a Youtube comment.

“Elliot rodger will not be forgotten,” Cruz wrote.
