NFL 2018
We play the Pats on Thursday night. An Eagles fan paid to have this put outside of Gillette Stadium.  Smiley_emoticons_smile

Gameday!

I'll be glad when pre-season is over. I spend the entire time worrying about injuries.

To date Doug has done pretty well keeping our starters off the field. Our 3rd string QB is the only name I recognized against the Steelers.

Fletcher was out there doing what Fletcher does. He was flawless. I think he's a thing of beauty to watch. Like the ballet.

I don't think there's a QB in the NFL today that want's big black Cox in his face.  hah

At least the Eagle fans will be a bit subdued in Foxborough and not throw drinks and things at the other teams fans like they do back home.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

I keep going back to the NFC Championship game and how thoroughly Doug Pederson out coached Mike Zimmer.

It was frickin’ brilliant.

Such a conservative game plan against Atlanta, Zim watches the tape, and just assumes Phil will do the same against the top D in the league.

Then, Foles comes out and is throwing everything 20+ yards down the field, including a drop at the 5 yard line on their opening drive.

They never let off the gas either... there was never a time when Zim thought he was gaining momentum back.

Zim’s Game Day management and in-game adjustments NEED to change this season if we’re to reach the Super Bowl.

Guess what Zim? You are allowed to blitz and change things up DURING the game.

Now, the only solace from that horrific defeat is knowing that Pederson came out and did the same to Belichek a couple of weeks later.

I’m slowly getting myself into NFL mode.

We’ve got a shit ton of talent returning but you just never know how it’s going to play out.

Most of my guys from the Super Bowl winning team are returning and I know that at the end of the day, it doesn't re
ally mean a damn thing.

Once the season starts all we are going to hear are ref's blowing their whistles because of the new helmet rule.

These exhibition games seem really pointless.

I mean, I know it’s all about the $$$.

The owners tried to get the players to accept an 18 game regular season and the NFLPA said No Way.

So, we’re stuck with 4 pretty meaningless games where everyone’s only hope is that a star player doesn’t go down with a season ending injury.

Today, my Vikes looked boring and predictable and the offense was so vanilla, all I could think about was the fans that shelled out hard earned money for that crap.

I’m not sure there will ever be a solution.

The owners don’t want to give up gate receipts and TV revenue and the players won’t agree to 2 additional games added to the regular season, so I think this is our reality into the future.

Victor Cruz has officially closed the door on playing football. He's taken a job with ESPN.

I used to fear that dude and when he'd do that salsa dance in the end zone while playing my team I wanted to knock him da hell out. I had nothing but mad respect for his skills and I am sorry for him that his football career has ended.

I remember when he got hurt the last time while playing at the Linc. It was awful, he was screaming & writhing on the ground. Horrible injury.

Teddy Bridgewater is going to be Drew Brees' backup. How about that.

Unreal.

Of course, the Saints visit Minny on National TV this year.

I’m sure Teddy has thought about that already.

I read a funny headline late yesterday and I haven't taken the time to back it up so take it for what it's worth. It was said that the team was on a bus when Teddy got word he was traded and he got off the bus and waved goodbye. Could that be true? Would it actually go down like that?

I don’t think it would ‘officially’ end like that.

I’d think he’d have to get to his locker, say goodbye to training staff and coaches, etc.

I do believe though that all along he knew he wouldn’t be with the Jets this season. The Jets have the 1st player taken overall in Sam Darnold, a QB, so Teddy knew his job was to look good in the pre-season and he would/could get traded.

Ending up in New Orleans is good for him. Brees has maybe 1-2 years left, and that’ll be it.

I saw a couple of moments of Teddy vs WASH a couple weeks ago and thought he made some nice throws, and better yet, looked good on his new knee.

I’ve always liked him. Such a great kid, great teammate. His detractors don’t like his throwing motion (and it’s a little long for my liking), but, he’s a winner. I do believe that.

Good luck Eagles fans tonight.

One of the writers at the Minneapolis Star Tribune has actually picked the Falcons over Minn in this years NFC Championship game, thus making ATL the first team to play a SB in their home stadium.

What a bonehead!
