Have you read up on Whitaker?

The fact that he is serving as the United States Attorney General is a farce.  I hope his 'interim' appointment is a very short one.

Whitaker is a former federal attorney from Iowa who launched an unsuccessful bid for senator back in 2014.  He has no experience remotely related or qualifying him to be the highest Justice Dept/LE official in the land.

Whitaker was appointed for one reason: personal loyalty/devotion to President Trump, in my opinion.

Prior to working as Chief of Staff for Sessions (after associating himself with several conservative watchdog groups), he was working for a patent company which was closed by the FTC and fined $26million because it was a scam that defrauded its customers.  https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/...ca2bec343a

Man, I'm listening to President Trump spew so much rambling bullshit right now.

He's very worried about the Mueller investigation, more so now that he has no shield in the House of Representatives.

And, he's very worried that the Republican loss in the midterms will be even worse than originally perceived once all the votes are counted.

In my opinion.

Oh hell yeah. He is exactly what I have come to expect from this president & his administration, nothing more, nothing less. He is there for one reason only, to provide cover for trump. Whitaker made no secret of the fact he came to DC so he could defend trump on FOX and bring himself to the attention of the president. He's been very vocal on a number of things the prez is going through and his comments are well documented.

I disagree with your opinion

I wondered something after watching the press conference following the mid-terms. I assume that Trump is briefed on things being said in the media, including social media and other places-is it possible that sometimes he is surprised when some of these questions come up? Does he have staff that should be telling him what sort of questions might arise?

This moron couldn't even be bothered to leave his hotel room in order to join other world leaders in paying their respects to those who died in WW1. He is a goddamn disgrace. He'd rather sit there watching FOX news and tweeting crap. I'm more embarrassed than usual by this filthy display on the world stage.

His threat to withhold emergency funds from California is the cherry on top.

We don't need him.
He is not my leader, not my president.
Time to focus on the positive that communities are doing and stop giving this guy another breath of my air.

At least until I see/hear about the next stupid thing he tweets or does.

But seriously I just hope he keeps on doing stupid shit that gets him taken out of office and or elected out. If he hasn't offended everybody by the time elections come I would be surprised.
Don't worry, I am sure there will still be a few of his last standing supporters saying, "But the economy!"

The economy sure, the peace with North Korea and lack of missiles being launched, the decimation of ISIS, cutting corporate regulations, Sanctions on Russia, Better trade deals....

At this stage only the very stupid or willfully ignorant are refusing to see any good he does.

He was legally confirmed as President of the United States and this he ACTUALLY IS the ACTUAL President of ALL US citizens EVEN IF they don't like him and to say otherwise is not just dishonest but really, really childish.

Yes, really really childish. I just take after the President then, because he is the most childish of them all. And I am so glad that you, Fry Guy wrote "actual" in all caps. That made it so clear for me, thank you so much.
And I am not stupid or willfully ignorant.
I think some of the things he has passed will come at a cost, these things will not be evident immedietly. I believe he has done far worse than good at this point and if things don't turn out like I think they will-then I will say so.

OK, so to be clear then YOU ACTUALLY believe he IS your ACTUAL President and you just do not like him?

Of course he is the ACTUAL president of the US, that is why we are in this nightmare.
And of course I do not like him.
Quit trying to convince me of anything redememable about him, though I appreciate your acknowledgement of, well somewhere you did acknowledge something about his weaknesses, so there is that.
Nothing you or anyone else says will change my mind.

Can't understand how I had the wrong impression?

But as for Trump, there is PLENTY to dislike about him. Plenty. But there is also a Hell of a lot to like too.
For example, his Vaccine = Autism spiel is far from useful (I am not JUST saying this as a parent of an adult with Autism), nor is his birtherism was fucking stupid, and the way he chooses to say some important shit in the most convoluted and confusing way is often cringeworthy and frustrating.

I will accept all of this because what I trade it off for is worth it.

I remember when Secretary Clinton had pneumonia & attended a 911 memorial anyway. When she fainted, trump and his supporters went batshit crazy saying she was dying and as trump likes to say, weak, she was weak, he said it over and over and over again. trump wouldn't stand in a light rain for a few minutes to honor veterans, he choose to remain indoors and rage tweet. He knew the pomp wasn't going to be for him and he knew he was going to be surrounded by people who don't like, nor respect him. He is an abomination.

Last week, French President Macron made a speech announcing his intent to strengthen Europe's military in order to be better prepared to defend itself against China, Russia, U.S.A...

Yesterday, before arriving in France to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI, Trump sent out a tweet calling Macron's statement 'insulting'.

Today, Macron (center) made a speech with top world leaders in attendance.

“Patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism, nationalism is a betrayal of patriotism.  In saying ‘our interests first and who cares about the others’ we erase what a nation has that’s most precious, what makes it live, what is most important: its moral values,” Macron said.  https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/...aris-event

I'm curious to see if long-time nationalist Putin and newly self-proclaimed nationalist Trump let it ride or instead go on the defensive.
