jk.

I thought about you but I thought you just became disinterested in Mock and moved on. I never dreamed it could have been something to do with your family. I'm so glad I didn't write and give you some sass by jokingly asking what could possibly be more important than Mock. I've done that before to others in a teasing manner but I don't think I ever will again now. *cringe*
I wouldnt have been ugly to about it....I promise. Ive had so many people still that didnt know he had passed, even though it was huge news around here. There were about 400 bikes or more for his final ride. I got messages from all over the place as people found out. Its been over 2 years and I still have to explain. Id say reach out. It feels good to talk about him...maybe not how he died, as it was horrific and violent and so sudden...but it doesnt bother me to talk about him at all. Its the little things like that that really help you get through shit.

Find a place you can manage by yourself. Get used to being independent and alone. Hell, no people in the house will allow you to be as freaky as you want to be. Call it liberation.
It is not selfish to want to feed your soul. It will make you a better support and a better ally for your family. It will help you grow as a person too.

Perfect advice.
I moved into my own apartment and live alone for the first time in my life...and it was scarey at first, and a little lonely.
But I loved it once the adjustment period was over. Youre going to love it too, Clang. The freedom to live
authentically and with responsibility to only yourself is amazing. Spend some time getting to know you, and love you.
Find things that feed your soul and do them. But dont forget to do laundry and clean too. Living in a mess is
depressing. Make yourself do the things you dont enjoy, so you can fully enjoy the things you do enjoy. Im genuinely
excited for you. Youre going to love it!

Thanks Wildflower. Got an appointment to see an apartment next Sunday. Right here in Watervliet. Told them I was looking to move in by 2/1/19. I wonder if that is too soon. I'd need to pack in a hurry and switch all my utilities to that address. And break my current lease.

I hope you get the apartment you want Clang.

Cutting off the utilities at your current apartment won't take long at all.  Just don't do it until you have a confirmation that the new place is your's.

If you cut off the current lease, you might be obligated to pay for unused rent at the same time you have to put a security deposit down on the new place.  Hopefully, your current landlord will allow you to break the lease without charging you when you explain your situation.

I'm excited for you too and really hope you'll be in your own place very soon.

Get busy. Start finding boxes and purging the shit that you dont need or want to take with you. Maybe even sell some shit to make a little extra money. Box up the non-essentials. Get EXCITED! Sometimes, if you explain to your landlord the circumstances, they wont make you pay the rest of the lease, because your dad having such big medical issues is out of your control. Id let him know once you have secured a place to move in, that way he can prepare to rent the apt out. Courtesy goes a long way. Also make sure that apt is spotless when you move out. Perhaps you can get some, if not all, of your deposit back! I sure hope you get this apt...my heart dropped at the thought of you not having a place to live.

See all the people who genuinely care about you, Clang. That's pretty cool, even if we do live in your computer.   Awink

Doubtful. New apartment isn't going to magically make me less of a socially awkward weirdo. Especially if I hook up with a nosy chick and she finds my footlocker full of women's  clothing.
