I think the Occupy folks misunderstood the Declaration of Indpendence. Nobody is guaranteed a living in this country, just the right to earn a living.
I don't hear middle class people bitching about income disparity. I hear them bitching about principal reductions for people who bought a house they couldn't afford. I hear them bitching about reduced hours and benefits from private companies and furloughs for gov't employees so the state can keep up with the welfare payments by increasing small business fees and taxes. I hear them bitching about crime increases due to foreclosures and Section 8 vouchers.
Real people don't bitch about how much their neighbor makes because they are busy taking care of their own business.
