I have a rainbow vaccum. I love it! I works great. I used to have a Kirby but I like the rainbow better.

I have 2 shop vacs a 20 gallon and a 10 gallon, they work great they pick up everything that is not nailed down and even then sometimes that's not enough to keep them from eating shit I don't want them to.

That fucking goat is too big to eat, I wouldn't have it around here, it's as useless as a hayburner.

In addition to the $500 piece of shit vacuum, the toilet breaking and the allergies being out of control - to the point I can't even fucking breathe - I just remembered I'm out of coffee and the market closed early for memorial day. Looks.like an early morning stop at the gas station so no one gets killed.

Neti pot. Google it.

RE: the 2012 trivial drivel thread - LuciferLynn - 05-28-2012

I know better with weather like this but simply forgot to take allergy stuff. My god I was miserable.

I quit using mine for allergies when my son e-mailed me this article. That's why I buy Entsol over-the-counter. Allergy specialist recommended it to me.

'Brain-Eating' Amoeba Kills Second Neti Pot User

Louisiana state health officials are warning patients about potential dangers of using tap water in the sinus-irrigating neti pot after two patients died of Naegleria fowleri infection.

N. fowleri is known as a "brain-eating" amoeba because it can enter a patient's nose, infect the brain, and cause primary amebic meningoencephalitis (PAM), a brain-tissue destroying condition.

The first Louisiana patient died of neti pot-induced infection in June. An additional two patients died of N. fowleri infection in August after swimming in warm, fresh water.

The amoeba usually infects patients that submerge their heads in freshwater lakes and rivers, though it can be transmitted through inadequately chlorinated pool water or underheated (less than 116°F) tap water that enters a patient's nose, a statement from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals said.

Patients that irrigate their noses with a neti pot should use distilled, sterile, or previously boiled water, Raoult Ratard, MD, a Louisiana state epidemiologist, said in the statement. He noted that tap water was safe to drink, but may not be safe for nasal cleansing.

Symptoms of PAM include headache, fever, nausea, vomiting, and stiff neck, and may take one to seven days to start. Later symptoms include confusion, lack of attention to environment, loss of balance, seizures, hallucinations, and, in one to 12 days after infection, death. The disease progresses rapidly and symptoms may resemble bacterial meningitis, the statement warned.

N. fowleri infection is rare in the U.S. -- only 32 cases have been documented from 2001 to 2010, according to the CDC website. The agency also noted that patients should rinse devices like the neti pot after use and to allow it to air dry.

The CDC is actively working with Louisiana state health officials on the investigation, an agency representative told MedPage Today.

^^^^^noted. I've heard of this. Perhaps that's why I've never used one.

These are the only relevant points. Follow the directions and the stupid things are totally safe to use and helpful for many people.

User, that's exactly what my son said. He sent that to me to make sure I used the distilled, sterile, or boiled water. Personally, I find it much easier and more effective (for me) to use the Entsol.

I don't like the parents who let them get that way. Parents control the food, it's up to them to set boundaries & lead by example.

The parents of an extremely obese girl in my class absolutely disgusted me. She was a third-grader and weighed a little over 200 pounds. Her head alone was bigger than at least 2 times as mine...probably larger than that. She couldn't wear shoes that tied like the other kids. Had to be Velcro or slip-ons since she couldn't bend over far enough to tie them. Really a sweet, intelligent child.

BUT her dad brought her breakfast & lunch to school from McD's every day. Whenever we had "party day" (Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc.), Dad would always be there at the end of the day to get all the left-overs for her - one time it was an entire cake with sprinkles on it (kids always brought too much junk). Then she would sit in the teacher's lounge before she went home and eat it.

He idolized her and wanted to make her happy - his only child. Mom seemed to be completely out of the picture - never saw her. One time I spoke to him as reasonably as possible about health problems, but was put down immediately. After that I started throwing away the left-overs as soon as the party was over. Even with all the love he had for her this was definitely child abuse! Poor children of parents or "parent" like this one.

RE: the 2012 trivial drivel thread - Teacher - 05-29-2012

This is too disgusting to post but just to let you know how truly obese she was, her dad told me that when she went to the bathroom, she couldn't even wipe herself. My sympathies are completely with the child.

RE: the 2012 trivial drivel thread - Duchess - 05-29-2012

That's very sad. Life is going to be difficult for her especially in school. Children can be dreadful lil' monsters in their treatment of other kids, kids that are "different".

Would this be an inappropriate time to say how much I would like to have an ice cream cone?

hah Will your ass fit between the arm rests on your chair?

When I working building the shavings plant I had to get the secretary a desk chair with no arm rests and build steel steps up to the office..

I was a little disgusted by it to be honest.
