I blame the handyman quitting. Plus I don't think he did as good a job clearing the leaves and branches last year as my mom paid him to do.

I know. This is the first year though that I've had to do yardwork since losing my job and moving back home three years ago. And before this, I haven't done yardwork since my summers off during college.

One of the great feelings is the satisfaction of looking at a job well done.
However, I feel your pain. I don't like yard work some days either.

Its not all bad I suppose. After the leaves and branches are cleared I get the joy and priviledge of mowing the lawn once a week with a shiny new pushmower instead of the rusted piece of junk pushmower I used the last time I mowed. And as a reward I get to have a roof over my head and enjoy going to free movie, concerts, and events during the summer as well as get some much needed exercise and lose some weight.

I like doing yard work & at the end of the day it's a good tired, I'd rather be physically tired than brain tired. I must not have felt this way last Fall though because I've had a shit ton of stuff to do lately. I'm going out to buy a new blower this morning, I tried to use the one that they use up in the barn but it was like trying to hold a fire hose. Soon it's time to open the pool!

I think some of our neighbors or our former handyman swept their/our leaves underneath our bushes/trees. I'm leaving the leaves that are hidden by the bushes/trees and just focusing on making it look nice and the lawn is mowable. Day off the yardwork today at least. Going to the circus tonight.

You know they torture those animals at the circus? Their living areas are cramped and they have no natural habitat for the sake of your enjoyment. You need to get your fat ass out in the yard instead.

Yep. I'll say the same thing to you I said to the PETA protesters outside the building...."Mmmm....you're making me hungry for an elephant meat sandwich(most of the signs were about the elephants)" , "Fuck off" and "Get that fucking flyer out of my face".
The elephants seemed happy and well treated to me. Better than the elephant I rode years ago at a carnival/festival(?) years ago. (There's a Clang fat joke in there somewhere I sure).
The horses, dogs, lions and tigers seemed happy, well treated and very well behaved as well.
Oh and no corndog. The Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco I grabbed after the show went down smoothly though. Thanks for your concern.
