I don't recall ever drinking one. Before I was a wino I drank beer & shots mostly and now I'm pretty much strictly a pothead.

I've had a few that I couldn't swallow too. The places that try to make them fancy or add some special ingredient usually screw them up.

14 vodka in a very big glass, tomato juice (or V8), a dash of Tabasco, a pinch of pepper, a celery stalk and a couple of green olives. I like salt on the rim, too.

That's how I make them at home and how they generally make them at airport bars. I'm having a couple for lunch later today at a pub I've never been to before. Pubs usually get them right.

This is my Bloody Mary recipe which is similar to others.
I like to use Mr./Mrs. T Bloody Mary mix (in liquor section), dash of lemon, salt, dash of hot sauce (to taste), vodka (to taste), skewer of stuffed olives and stalk, including leaves, of celery. You can also add pepper or lemon pepper to add tiny bit more flavor. Enjoy!

Nice to see you, blueberryhill.

I think I tried Mrs. T's before and it was pretty good.

Love lemon pepper, but never thought about throwing a pinch in a Bloody Mary. Will give it a try next time.

Cheers

RE: Whats for breakfast? - SIXFOOTERsez - 10-28-2013

Just came in from putting up 3 gallons of Sea Grape Jelly.
That is a lot of work, but its sure good on toast.
Used all my shine jars and had to buy more

Stuffing, eggs over easy, a Bloody Mary, and Houses of the Holy.

Followed by shopping.

I really dislike shopping and crowds, so maybe two Bloody Marys (I'm not in the driver's seat this weekend).

Amen to that, I feel your pain.

You wouldn't believe all the stuff I just ate in my mind. Nom Nom Nom. Home fries, chipped beef & biscuits, bacon, sausage, english muffins, some pineapple, french toast, more sausage links, a chocolate milkshake. My mouth is drooly and I don't even like meat but I could roll around in the smell of bacon cooking.

I'm hungry.

It all sounds good. I'm starving.

Yesterday, I goofed off all day and never made it to the office or did errands. Today, I'm gonna get it all done.

Right after brunch -- gotta get powered up! Our cafe up the street does a great breakfast/brunch -- walnut raisin toast, two eggs over-easy, home fries with a little cheese, and 2 slice of bacon.

Huevos Rancheros...

I've been craving them for a long, long time.

Is anyone making an awesome breakfast? I'm so hungry.

Not me.

But, I'm trotting over to Denny's in a few and having some coffee (no coffee-maker in the rooms anymore because people were stealing them - shocker) and an avocado BLT.

No fries (even though I really really want some).

Why not?

If you're afraid they'll go straight to your ass, never mind, I'm sure it won't matter, your ass is hawt, and you'll walk it off anyway.

If you think I'm wrong about your ass, I suggest you give me some evidence to form a better picture. Just for clarity's sake and all..

Do you fucks have any real women in your lives? Jesus Christ with all this "shazam" and "it moved" bullshit.

RE: Whats for breakfast? - crash - 06-09-2014

It's ok, sal, send yours too if you feel left out..

RE: Whats for breakfast? - crash - 06-22-2014

Shakshukah with chorizo and toasted sourdough. Yummo..

RE: Whats for breakfast? - Duchess - 06-22-2014

Yeah. Like I've heard of that! I can't even pronounce it.

I just googled it. You're long & lean, you can get away with eating that for breakfast. That would be better suited for my dinner, if I ate it for breakfast I'd be worthless the rest of the day.

RE: Whats for breakfast? - crash - 06-22-2014

I don't eat a breakfast like this everyday, I just felt like it. It's just two diced tomatoes, a small diced onion, a quarter of a diced red capsicum, a few herbs and spices and a bit of chopped chorizo in a small skillet. One egg poached in the middle to finish it off. Slice of toasted sourdough on the side.

Maybe I'm ass backwards, but I find it sits a lot easier in my stomach and digests a lot easier at the start of the day than this type of stuff;

Not that I imagine everyone has that kind of thing everyday either..
