I'm in beautiful Colorado, nearly smack dab in the center of the country.  Legal weed, clean air and generous tax breaks for retirees.  I love it.

RE: GAME OF THRONES - Duchess - 05-20-2019

Well...that's that.

I feel cheated out of a gruesome death. I wanted Cersei to die in a similar manner as Joffrey & Ramsey.

RE: GAME OF THRONES - Rootilda - 05-20-2019

I found the entire thing very unsatisfying. D&D should have handed the show over to someone actually interested in finishing it in the manner it and we deserved. I guess Dany had to die but the way we got to her madness/tyrant mindset was piss poor. Season 8 should have been 10 episodes with an addition season of 10 episodes and fuck whoever thought having Cersei die like that was a good idea. Turning Arya and Sansa into two mean girls that look smug every time they were on screen was a shit decision too. I was never that crazy about Sansa but Arya was a great character.

And come on. How many main characters were going to walk past and look at the burned corpse of the little girl holding her wooden toy that miraculously didn't turn to ash? That was a city of hundreds of thousands, what are the odds they'd all walk past her? Blah.

I don't usually get this invested in a TV show and it annoys me that I'm this annoyed.

In the split second that I first saw that I thought it was Davos holding the toy he had carved for Shareen (I think that's her name. It's been a long time and I'm old) I didn't know where some of the characters were at that time and I actually grieved him for a minute.

There are so many things they could have done better.   Smiley_emoticons_slash

Rootilda is lumpypussy, she used to be in Utah and now in Colorado. Grey bush.

RE: GAME OF THRONES - sally - 05-20-2019

Relative of Grey Worm?

RE: GAME OF THRONES - aussiefriend - 05-20-2019

Sometimes you get a pass from a gruesome end if you are damaged and there is a reason.

First Of Her Name.

RE: GAME OF THRONES - BigMark - 05-20-2019

Apparently you are not supposed to wash the dishes when the finale of GOT is on.

RE: GAME OF THRONES - Duchess - 05-20-2019

I didn't see anything in the final episode that would have bothered me while washing dishes. That happened in episode 5 or 6. It was when Arya flew up behind the Night King. That is probably my favorite scene from this season.

RE: GAME OF THRONES - BigMark - 05-20-2019

I was making noise so someone couldn't hear.

RE: GAME OF THRONES - Duchess - 05-20-2019

Ahh, I get it now and a lot of the dialog is spoken low too. Shhhhhh

RE: GAME OF THRONES - Tammy75 - 05-21-2019

I just finished watching the Sopranos and the last season was 21 episodes----which was really not enough to wrap it up. 6 was NOT near enough to finish out something this big.

RE: GAME OF THRONES - Fry Guy - 05-22-2019

Tony dies in the end.

We're all disappointed.

I can't help but wonder why they would hurry through the final season when it was such a big moneymaker. Stretch it out. They could have got waaaay more time out of this series.

RE: GAME OF THRONES - Rootilda - 05-22-2019

And shockingly, that alternate history series they pitched to HBO where the south wins the civil war and slavery is still legal hasn't been scrapped yet.

Maybe the actors didn't want to mess with it anymore, they were basically nobodies that became filthy rich, even the lowest paid ones. I wouldn't want to do it anymore either.

RE: GAME OF THRONES - Rootilda - 05-22-2019

It was the showrunners, they're supposed to do Star Wars next and they wanted out ASAP.  They should have hired new showrunners and have seasons 8 and 9 at 10 eps each.

I like this ending though.

RE: GAME OF THRONES - aussiefriend - 05-24-2019

Rooty, is Colorado lovely and warm? Or blistering cold? Do you have Tornados?

I am in Tasmania, we live near Antarctica and sometimes with get artic winds and chills, and the winds can force trees down. It's full blown hard.

In winter here, we have cold and snow on the mountain, I posted snow once for Maggot, but he didn't appreciate it. In summer, we live near the beach, you can hear the waves crashing at night, it's heaven. We have daylight savings and the sun goes down at 9pm. Nice long summer days. I cut the grass at dusk. In winter, sun goes down at 5pm.

Rooty, did you look up australian slang for "root". It is a common word used in Australia
