US talk show host Oprah Winfrey says she was the victim of racism during a recent visit to Switzerland.
She says an assistant refused to serve her in an upmarket handbag shop in Zurich.
Winfrey, one of the richest women in the world, was apparently told the bags on display were “too expensive” for her.
This incident came amid a political row over plans by some Swiss towns to ban asylum seekers from being allowed in some public places.

I've seen her without makeup/hair/clothes and she's unrecognizable and if that's how she was when shopping then I can see someone not recognizing her.
The store owner is now saying there may have been a communication issue because the clerk isn't very good with the English language.

The manager of the shop says it was a big “misunderstanding”. However a witness to the incident said the assistant looked Oprah up and down, shook her head as if to say “not for you jigaboo!” And turned her back on her.
The manager then apparently realised who it was and the $35,000 bag in question was taken down from its protective display lickety split to let Oprah examine the merchandise.
Oprah has her own TV network?! Really? What shows day got nigger?
