Geez.

Didn't see that one coming.

RE: The Death List - Maggot - 01-18-2016

I liked Glenn he was on Cocaine Vice (Miami Vice) a few times. Death has patience and knowledge that sits besides birth fresh and unknowing but very, very close at the table of life.

I thought he was so hot, back when he had the long hair and side burns going on. "Lyin Eyes", which I think he wrote, is one my favorite Eagles' songs.

Kinda expected to read that he'd died of cancer too, but not this time -- rheumatoid arthritis, pneumonia, and colitis.

He really was a good one. RIP.

I think he co-wrote that song with Don. One of my favs too.
The Eagles are in my top five favorite bands. I would have bet $$$ that Joe would have went first.

New Kid In Town.

My favorite track with Glenn on lead vocals.

You got me curious about the leading causes of death in California.

Heart disease is first, followed by cancer.

This a cool site where you can look those kinds of stats up quickly by country, state, gender: http://www.worldlifeexpectancy.com/usa-cause-of-death-by-age-and-gender
It's not guns killing people? hah

RE: The Death List - HairOfTheDog - 01-20-2016

You're late to the game if you're just now realizing that neither suicide nor homicide, by gun or otherwise, is the leading cause of death in this country (or any other) Gunnar.

Well then, cancer and heart disease should be outlawed with legislation immediately.

Mott The Hoople's drummer Dale Griffen died on 01/18/2016. He played with Bowie during the Ziggy era as well. Dallas Taylor died a year prior to the day (01/18/2015).

The former first lady Nancy Reagan has died at 94.

RE: The Death List - Duchess - 03-06-2016

I was reading about the first lady. She was in a movie called Donovan's Brain.

A couple lines - The brain uses Cory to do his bidding, signing checks in Donovan's name, and continuing the magnate's illicit financial schemes. One night Cory receives unconscious commands, jotting down a list of names in a handwriting not his own—it is Donovan's. Cory successfully attempts telepathic contact with Donovan's brain.

Sounds like a Jedi mind fuck to me.

Nancy has a good soul. R.I.P.

RE: The Death List - HairOfTheDog - 03-07-2016

It's been cool listening to people who knew Ronald and Nancy for decades talk about the couple's mutual respect and great love story.

Many of the stories mention how down to earth yet classy the Reagans were and how much the political climate has changed.

I really admired how Nancy Reagan cared for and protected her husband, and her commitment to helping raise awareness and address Alzheimer's.

RIP Nancy Reagan.

RE: The Death List - Donovan - 03-07-2016

I always wonder, knowing what I know about the disease and its progress, just how bad Ronnie was during his final years in office. There appeared to be significant decline as evidenced by what people said about his demeanor who were close to him.

RE: The Death List - BlueTiki - 03-07-2016

Read " Killing Reagan ".

RE: The Death List - HairOfTheDog - 04-20-2016

Doris Roberts died a couple of days ago in her sleep. She was 90.

I liked watching her -- a good actress and a funny lady. I've only seen a few episodes of the show, but thought she and Peter Boyle were great as Ray's parents Frank and Marie in Everybody Loves Raymond.

RIP.
