The music industry is a male dominated industry, so he had that going for him. He was also enabled by many, but eventually he came unstuck. He had to take money to get a liver transplant. He wasn't prosperous, and it was a miracle he survived as long as he did. I think he mellowed with age. I HOPE the days are gone where that kind of domineering, manipulative behaviour is tolerated. It is not artistic, genius or productive. These days it is hopefully called out. Bill Aucoin manager from KISS was sleeping with underage boys, and we all know about Michael Jackson too. What about Gary Glitter? Underage girls. Jimmy Saville and all his raping.
So in the past where the bar is very low for what is deemed 'bad behaviour' in showbusiness. These days, it is so competitive and so impossible to break into, you have to be the Son of God to break into this industry.
After the MeToo era, many women spoke about being violated and not giving consent. What about the women who DID give consent? What about the women who to this day are on the 'A' list and frock up for the awards. I know who some of them are. They have cheated and walked over women to get there. It still goes on to some degree, but lets hope we are progressing towards eliminating or treating narcissists.

I wholeheartedly agree with that. It is wishful thinking on my part that the music industry is progressing. It is well known there are criminal and underworld ties. CardiB was a stripper/sex worker. Don't tell me Madonna didn't sleep her way to that top and then some. The whole Snoop Dogg rah rah machine is bizarre to me, because he is not just pro pot, he is right into producing porn too. These are not the signs of a truly creative artists that can inspire others and make the world a better place. Quite the opposite. That is just a few I have picked out. It is much worse the more you look into rap music.
