I'm stunned that anyone would be even remotely surprised that ISIL's recruiting efforts won't gather some wannabe members from every corner of the globe. Disenfranchised youth who grew up playing violent video games and have no direction in their life...of course the calling is going to reach some of them. Look at those two young women from Great Britain who ran away to join Daesh. They're going to reach some crazies. To think we can prevent that is foolish. One of our best hopes is that "normal" Muslims speak out LOUDLY against Daesh and everything they stand for.

When I built this thing I went a lil nutz with it like I do most things.
The scope has a lighted reticle and there is a holographic site on top.
I also have a set of Gen1 night optics a couple lights and lasers for it.
I also built a 10⁄22 in the same style, over built and scary looking but a Lot of fun to shoot

WEAPONS USED IN SAN BERNADINO SHOOTINGS
Farook and Malik had illegally modified their two AR-style, making it easier to kill a large number of people, officials revealed today.
Meredith Davis, with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, said that while the weapons were purchased legally, they had undergone a number of illegal adjustments afterwards.
One of the weapons had been modified to allow it to fire on fully-automatic mode, while the other was fitted with a large magazine and had the 'bullet button' removed to allow for quicker reloading.
In total, Farook and Malik were carrying four guns - the two rifles and two semi-automatic handguns - and were in possession of 12 pipe bombs and around 4,500 rounds of ammunition.

"Bullet Button" how stupid is that? Its called a Magazine Release. The one specified for Cali has the Stock button to be changed out to one that requires a tool to push rather than a finger. It does slow down reloading, but only by a couple of seconds.

Terrorist Syed Farook's mother, ^ Rafia Farook, reportedly lived with her terrorist son, his terrorist wife, and their infant in Redlands, CA.
Mrs. Farook's driver's license was photographed by the media inside the home after the attack in San Bernadino and she, along with all of Farook's relatives, have been questioned by authorities. U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch said yesterday that Mrs. Farook is being looked at closely to determine if she had knowledge of the couple's plans.
Meanwhile, her ex-husband Mr. Farook has been telling the media that his terrorist son was a "momma's boy" who hated Jews and Israel. Mr. Farook has now been placed on the terror watch list.
It's been reported that Syed Farook worked alongside a Jewish man (who was one of his fatal victims) and that the two had argued about religion, but it's unknown if that's relevant to the attacks in any way.

And, authorities are also questioning this winner ^, Enrique Marquez. He was a neighbor of the Farooks when they lived in Riverside and reportedly purchased the two AK47s the couple used in the attacks.

I've heard it reported more than once that there was so much evidence in that apartment that anyone who entered would have known something of this nature was going down.
If the mother was living there I have to believe she knew enough that she needs to be held accountable.

Mr. Farook is still saying that he had no clue about his son's terrorist activities or motives. He had reportedly had little contact with his son since he and Rafia Farook divorced several years ago. Mom moved in with one son; dad moved in with the other.
It's been confirmed that dad was put on the watch list after the San Bernadino attack due to family relationship. I'd be surprised if the rest of the family wasn't being closely watched as well.

Here's a little more about the rifles.
The rifles were variants of the popular AR-15, the semiautomatic civilian version of a military M-16. They are surprisingly easy to acquire in California, though they come with limitations aimed at curbing their ability to inflict mass damage. Semiautomatic rifles, for instance, cannot have magazines that hold more than 10 bullets or can be quickly removed.
However, such limitations can be easily, if illegally, bypassed. For instance, a 10-bullet magazine can be quickly removed by pressing the tip of a loose bullet into a recessed button, allowing for a high-capacity magazine to be inserted in its place.
This release feature — called a “bullet button” — is installed, legally, by gun manufacturers on rifles sold in California; the high-capacity magazine is illegal in the state.
Other restricted features, like pistol grips and folding stocks — which allow greater control of the weapon while firing for a long period of time — can also be added to some guns after their sale.
The police in San Bernardino said Thursday that the husband-and-wife suspects, Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik, had at least four high-capacity magazines and more than a thousand rounds of ammunition.
Law enforcement specialists who briefed congressional officials on Thursday said that Mr. Farook bought two pistols legally and that another person bought the two .223-caliber rifles — a DPMS A-15 and Smith & Wesson M&P15 — legally.

This guy, FOX contributor Colonel Ralph Peters, probably should have watched football instead of Obama's address on terrorism. Peters got all riled up alright.
He's been suspended from the air for two weeks for calling Obama "a total pussy" live.
Actress and FOX contributor Stacey Dash was also suspended for two weeks for commenting that "Obama could give a shit" after the President's address.

Mom is definitely suspicious in my eyes too. Remember the Tsarnaev brothers' mom? I suspect she helped radicalize her sons before they bombed the Boston Marathon, but I don't think authorities could ever link the obnoxious bitch directly to the attack.
Anyway, the investigation has reportedly found that Syed Farook had planned a terror attack back in 2012, but he and his (yet unidentified) accomplice backed out after authorities made other terror-related arrests in the area.
Investigators have now determined that Farook had been radicalized for years before the San Bernadino terror attack, as had his Pakistani wife who was living in Saudi Arabia up until she came to the U.S. in July 2014 on a fiancee visa.

The former neighbor, Marquez, who bought the rifles for Farook, it turns out, is married to the sister of Farook's sister-in-law. Marquez checked himself into a mental hospital right after the San Bernadino attack. I'm sure authorities are all over him, and all over the entire immediate and extended family as well.
I too hope to see all who were in-the-know held accountable, but it's hard to prove what people did or didn't know without direct evidence or confession.
