Well, guys, Bosnia isn't in the Middle East and it's produced a lot of the terrorists arrested in the U.S. The Boston Bombers were also of Eastern European descent, their parents came here from Chechnya. There are also quite a few of Somali descent (Africa).
Anyway, here are a couple of sources that provide some photos and facts about the people arrested in the U.S. for terrorism. It's a diverse group, with over 1⁄4 being converts to radical Islam over the internet.

He's 20-years-old. Police earlier today identified the then-unknown suspect as Hispanic (reportedly based on witness descriptions), but Cetin's Facebook page says he's from Turkey.
Police found him (or he called them, according to some reports) near the home where he lives with his parents and he was arrested without resistance.
The rifles he used were reportedly stolen from his dad.
Witnesses say he called out a girl's name before he shot 4 women at the make-up counter of Macy's. His ex-girlfriend worked at that Macy's, but wasn't there and wasn't among the victims whose ages ranged from a teen to a senior in her 90s. :(
Cetin has a criminal record; he was arrested on fourth degree domestic assault charges last year and was ordered by the court to undergo mental health counseling and abstain from alcohol and drugs.

Former friends and acquaintances of the Cascade Mall mass murderer are telling the press that he's been troubled for years, was obnoxious, made sexist remarks and groped women, and had a history of violence.
It's been confirmed that he was a legal resident originally from Turkey, and that he was arrested several times in Washington over the last few years for domestic violence, DUI, and other charges. He was banned from having firearms, but reportedly helped himself to his father's.
Today, he was charged with five counts of murder.

One of the pieces I read this morning said that the mother told the court that the guns had been removed as part of lifting the no contact order they had in place due to the domestic assault.
Dumb fux, retard in the house and guns not secured.

I think he's going to be arraigned today, so maybe we'll learn a little more background.
Cetin committed assaults on multiple occasions in the U.S., yet he wasn't incarcerated when he went on to kill 5 people. That bothers me, not just in this case, but whenever I read about a repeat violent offender who for some reason got a slap on the wrist or out-patient counseling only. I understand the family wanting to protect/help their violent son, but that shouldn't supersede public safety.
I'm all for less incarceration of non-violent, non-victimizing offenders. But, I think violent criminals should be kept out of society unless/until it's shown that they don't pose any further threat.
In my opinion, the immigration screening of family members and spouses should be as comprehensive as for any other new immigrant, no shortcuts or special criteria. Cetin was presumably a child when he came to the U.S. though, so I'm not sure deporting him would have been the right answer like deporting an illegal immigrant or violent adult non-citizen immigrant would be, but maybe.

Texas -- Mass Strip Mall Shooting
Six people were reportedly injured and hospitalized in Houston this morning after a gunman hiding behind a tree shot at vehicles.
A bomb squad is currently clearing the location.
The shooter was killed by police; witnesses describe him only as a black male and no other details are available yet.

Well, the witnesses cited in early reports were wrong about the race of the Houston strip mall shooter. But, not because he looks black, instead because police detained a black man in the area at the same time as the shooting was going down.
The shooter was actually Nathan DeSai, pictured below.

DeSai was reportedly dressed in a Nazi uniform. Police searched his home and vehicle and found a lot of guns and ammo, along with war memorabilia.
DeSai's father says his son (a lawyer) was very upset about the dismantling of the law firm he established with a partner going under last year.
Fortunately, so far none of the victims has died.

This has been a busy week for multi-victim shooters, sadly.
Today a 14-year-old male shot two students and a teacher at an elementary school in South Carolina. Fortunately, none of the victims has died, though one of the young children is in serious condition and underwent emergency surgery.
Police found and apprehended the teen suspect quickly, and then found his dad, who had been shot to death earlier.
Terrorism has been ruled out and LE is investigating whether the shooter had any connection to the school/victims. No word on motive yet.

According to witnesses, Jesse, 14, fired several shots into the air and yelled, "I hate my life!", after jumping the fence outside the school.
The shooting occurred at 2 p.m at Townville Elementary School. Jesse used a handgun in the shooting. He had previously been given weapons including a gun and Smoke grenades by his mother Tiffney Clarke Osborne.

Responsible gun owners always secure them, in my opinion.
But, the updated/new details released at the arraignment indicate that Cetin was not living with his parents, he was instead living at a nearby apartment.
In my opinion, he should have been incarcerated or placed at an in-patient mental health facility at least a year ago. He'd been diagnosed with PTSD and extreme depression, had multiple domestic and sexual assault arrests, had attempted suicide... The guy was a ticking time bomb.

Thanks Zero. If it's true that the young teen's mother gave him those weapons, she's in deep shit. I haven't seen that part of the everipedia story confirmed by LE.
A little more information about the events was released this morning.
-A heroic off-duty firefighter, who was not armed, managed to take down the teen, who is now being questioned in police custody. The teen has not yet been charged.
-The teen shooter will remain behind bars until his first hearing in a family court on Friday.
-Police have still not released a motive for the shocking act.
-Officials said the teen called his grandmother from his father's house crying on the phone at 1:45pm on Wednesday. He did not tell her what was wrong or what happened before the call ended. Grandma went to her son's house and found him dead inside with a gunshot wound, but her teen grandson had already left the home (reportedly driving a truck which he crashed into the playground fence at the school).
-Tiffney Osborne, the mother of the shooter, released a statement through her pastor on Thursday saying: 'Our entire family is absolutely shocked and saddened by the senseless actions of our son and grandson. 'We are praying and will continue to do so for the two precious children who were wounded, and for their courageous teacher who was wounded while rescuing the children.' She also asked that people pray for the family.

^ This is the little guy who underwent emergency surgery when he was shot and is in critical condition. He is 6-year-old Jacob Hall. Jacob reminds me of missing Kyron Horman. I hope he survives and recovers quickly.

This is a recent photo of the SC elementary school shooter, Jesse Osborne, about which the boy's mother reportedly posted that he'd just gotten another one and some smoke grenades. It's unclear to me whether those items are toys or the real deal.

It's now also being reported that Osborne was short for his age, was being home-schooled after being expelled last year for reportedly threatening people with a hatchet he'd brought to school, and he claimed that he'd been bullied at school.
His father, who he is suspected of shooting to death before going to the school, had convictions for domestic violence and drug possession.
LE is investigating whether the handgun jammed when Jesse Osborne was shooting at the school playground.
The fireman who stopped Osborne seems like a very cool cat. His name is Jamie Brock, a 30 year veteran of the department. He says he's not a hero; the teachers who protect their students are heroes.
Prosecutors have the option to try Osborne as an adult, even though he's a minor. His record will be a factor in making that decision.
Jacob Hall is still in critical condition.
Sad case, all the way around.

I think it's fucked up that he would be given a gun after already having shown he has violent tendencies.
I read that he liked shooting air soft guns. Could that gun he is holding be an air gun?
I don't have the open minded feelings about guns that I used to have. If that gun is basically a toy I think that's pretty fucked up too. I think it's fucked up that a toy would look so real. I think it's fucked up that kids are gifted toy guns so they can pretend shoot people.

In either case, the shooter is a minor with serious issues of which his parents were well aware. And, still, he was able to access the gun he used to shoot four people. Seriously fucked up.
I was so sad to read that Jacob Hall has died. He suffered a brain injury as a result of the shooting and the surgery couldn't save him.
