RE: NFL 2014 - Donovan - 11-25-2014

Wow. Is it too late to put Rex Ryan on the celebrity death list?

Dono! How you been buddy?

I'll be right there beside you.

I loathe the way I feel before division games. Ugh.

RE: NFL 2014 - Cutz - 11-26-2014

At least it's only three days of loathing.

Scheduling man... The Eagles play Dallas Thurs, as well as Lions-Bears and Seattle-9ers. The next week, Dallas and Chi play Thurs night football. So each get a week to prepare, no real advantage. Philly plays the Seahawks the following Sunday, again, no real advantage in scheduling, each get 9 days. The following week, Philly plays Dallas. Dallas gets 9 days to rest/prepare and the Eagles get 6. What a kick in the balls. At least give us 9 days to prepare for the Seahawks if you're gonna smack us with Dallas the following week on extended rest. Jerks.

Not bad. Hanging in there anyway. GF's kid got signed to a label the other day with his metal core band. I'll let you know if anything comes of it.

RE: NFL 2014 - Donovan - 11-26-2014

And the Broncos are still winning despite their month long slump so there's that.

RE: NFL 2014 - Cutz - 11-27-2014

Yep. Dallas got exposed at home. Their defense sucks and their offense is just well balanced behind a good line. Nothing special. GO EAGLES!

Did you just jinx me, mister? I will hunt you down like a dog. This is a division game, I can't have any distractions.

How 'bout some props for nailing the Lions score RIGHT ON THE NOSE.

Don't know how often that actually happens.

Nice work Eagles. Very impressed with their 'D'.

Cowboys and Packers are different animals, huh?

Now, on to my favorite of the 'new rivalries'. Watching Seahawks/Niners with their defenses and young QB's is usually awesome football.

Time to dig in and enjoy!

Not too many animals compare to Aaron Rogers.

RE: NFL 2014 - Cutz - 11-28-2014

I'd say the dome at Jerryworld vs the cold/shoddy field at GB were the different animals. Really tho, it's just that the Packers got up early on the birds while the birds got up early on the cowgirls. That's just how the football crumbles.

RE: NFL 2014 - HairOfTheDog - 11-28-2014

Richard Sherman strikes again! Strangle

(I actually like watching the man play and put on a show -- especially when the Seahawks are not playing the 49ers.)

Don't feel bad about the cold/shoddy field conditions Cutz.

I have a feeling the Pats will get blitzed on Sunday in Lambeau as well.

Pack 38, NE 17

In other news, a terrible Carolina Panthers team comes to TCF Bank stadium on Sunday and takes the Vikes right down to the wire. This will be a game decided by a late FG, just not sure who's going to win at this moment.

In Arrowhead, look for a convincing Chiefs win (10 pts +).

Also, Chargers right the ship and stun the Ravens in Balt.

Getting signed to label nowdays is a lot different than it was 20 years ago. Depends on the deal and the ammount of promotion the label is willing to kick down. Friends of mine signed a three year deal with Warner Brothers. I thought, wow, that's awesome. You guys are on your way. Turns out WB made them pay for the studio time and put absolutely no promotion into it at all. That's why nobody's ever heard of Stands With Fists (except for the Dances With Wolves fans). They're broken up now.

That's pretty much always the way it has been though. Most of the horror stories from the early days of rock are greedy labels ripping off artists. If this band is going to get anywhere it will be under their own sweat power. The label is Victory, which seems to be a metal and punk haven, but I don't know enough about that niche to tell if any of their current acts are names. I never heard of them but I'm old. Personally, I put their odds of long term success about the same as the Eagles getting out of the season without Sanchez remembering he's Sanchez and choking a big game.

See how I wrapped that back around? NFL thread, bitches. Testify.

Whatta dick the coach of the 'Skins is. I've never seen a HC in the NFL talk about a player/s the way this person does. He sucks ass.

I want the Patriots to win today. Go Pats!

MS, I just heard the guys on Fox say your windchill is -7. There is almost a 60 degree difference between your weather and mine.
