Looks like you and Crash might be the minority on this one.

So what..

One Direction had a wing of albums debut at #1, what's your point?
The Justin Beiber argument? Really Crash? One Direction appeals to the pop crowd, which is by definition most of the population. For a metal band like Lamb of God to pull off a #1 is one hell of an accomplishment and speaks volumes to the quality of the album. It also points to the fact that the genere is gaining speed, not losing it.

Well which one is it? Are they the majority or the minority? You're swapping sides to suit your argument..

There's no argument here crash. #1 in sales is just that. It's a minority genere, that won the majority. Too much to wrap your head around? Stick to Beiber and One Direction. It fits nicely into your little box that makes you feel warm and fuzzy.

Horseshit...

Like a marketing group never invested a few dollars on a slack week to promote an album before? Like there's never been a blip before...

Why do you want them to be mainstream anyway? There goes that edgy af thing all you socially inept cutters like if that happens? Then you have to turn to something like fucking fart metal or something..

Look it up. No more went into promoting Sturm and Drang than any other LOG album. It's just a badass album. LOG will never be main stream. Too many Nancies across the globe that echo the same patented programmed response "I can't understand the words" when in reality the only words they know from any given pop tune is the repetitive chorus (It's all about that base). It's just good to see a talented extreme metal band steam roll though all of the mindless auto-tune pop fodder for a change.

That's EMO/Goth which hasn't had a pulse in about 10 years, but keep on taking swings you really can't strike out when nobody is counting.

RE: BG1's mosh pit - Blindgreed1 - 09-25-2015

Following in the wake of Lamb Of God's chart-topping album release last month, heavy metal is dominating the music scene again as Slayer's "Repentless" becomes the #2 selling album in the world according to the United World Chart, Media Traffic's amalgamation of official album sales charts from dozens of principal countries around the world.

The album scored a Top 10 debut in 25 countries, Top 5 in 14 countries, and made career-highest debuts in the United States, the UK, Germany, The Netherlands and New Zealand.

There goes your "blip theory." hah

Aaaand in case you were wondering... Bring Me The Horizon is #1, and Iron Maiden is #3, so the top 3 selling albums in the world are all metal bands.
