SHOW ME YOUR ERECTION - Duchess - 07-10-2014 02:05 PM

A 17 yr. old was sexting with his 15 yr. old girlfriend. The girlfriend's mother contacted police and now the young man is being charged with possessing child porn as well as manufacturing child porn. The police would like to take it a step further in their effort to make a case against him and want to photograph his erect penis in order to use it as evidence.

Many of you are parents, what do you think about this?

I think the police and the girls parents are over reacting. Take your daughters phone away. Ground her. Deal with your child in a manner you feel is appropriate for the behavior. Speak with the boys parents so they can do the same. Involving the authorities and making an example out of this boy is not going to teach today's youth not to take and share pics of their privates.

You'd be surprised at how many teens sext. The authorities should spend their time tracking down real pedos.

I agree with Ramsey.

A well-thought out, coherent, lucid post.

Who knew it was possible?

I'm waiting to see the dentist so I'm scared out of my right mind.

You're sharp when you're on pain killers or in fear! Smiley_emoticons_wink

I did some research on Georgia laws that might affect the Cooper Harris murder case earlier this week.

Georgia's age of consent is 16. But, Georgia and some other states also have "close in age" provisions/exceptions in regards to statutory rape and sex related charges regarding teens.

“Romeo and Juliet” Exception -- Georgia
Named after Shakespeare’s young lovers, “Romeo and Juliet” exceptions are intended to prevent serious criminal charges against teenagers who engage in consensual sex with others close to their own age, when:
- the victim is age 14 or 15, and
- the defendant is age 18 or younger, and no more than four years older than the victim.
(Ga. Code Ann. § 16-6-3.)

I thought Virginia had such provisions as well. I wonder if the now 15 year-old ex-girlfriend or her family are claiming that the 17-year-old boy has posted or shared intimate photos of her or them together without her consent (or threatened to), or something like that? If not, yeah, looks like a huge overreach by the city police on this one.

I'm waiting in the chair for the dentist. I think I'm going to have a root canal. My tooth is throbbing. And I'm terrified of the dentist.

Are you there alone? If not, you can request some liquid valium.

I know PA has the same laws, when I was 17 I dated a 15 yo. girl, and then I turned 18 (and just so you don't throw me the Sign_pervert card, she chased after me and was more sexually active than I had been.) I really don't see how they'd stick statutory stuff on him, but the pornography of a minor aspect is a possible pitfall. Unfair as it may be, sexting is still a blossoming legal area, and I could see how he'd be made an example. Still I think it'd be tough to convict him as an adult, so it'd be Juvie right?

I've had two root canals. Separate times tho. You'll be fine. Little Novocaine, you won't feel a thing.

I hope he has something to be proud of. Considering all the hoopla being made about this. I hope it stands straight and tall when the police photograph it and towers impressively over all expectations garnering admiration from the females and envy from all the guys who view it!
