Market basket is great. We saved 40.00 per week going there. I agree with them wanting the Demoulis guy back as head, look what happened to Wal-Mart when Sam Walton died the kids treated the employees like shit and they still do.
The warehouses are the ones bitching and they should. But shopping is getting done today instead of Saturday morning just in case.

I've heard rumors that Gooch ran Radio Shack right into the ground. I can't believe the shareholders would want that for MB.
There's a big Rally planned for today. People that have worked for that company for years and years, are willing to go down to Tewksbury and risk their jobs because all this.
I'm going to miss Market Basket.

We have been doing all the ductwork for the new stores, one in Waltham is almost done. They must have opened 10 new stores in the last 3-4 years.

The stores I've driven by had maybe 20-30 cars in the lot compared to being filled with 3-400 on a Saturday. There were a bunch of employees with signs waving and getting honks.
In China they would be sent to labor camps. I hope Artie T gets his wish to buy back the 51% he needs.

Me too & soon. There was supposed to be a board meeting at 6 pm today. Don't know whether they actually had it or not. The only other option for me is Hannafords and holy shit are they expensive!

Thornton and Gooch are doing a bang up job with public relations.
Last Sunday, I drove by 3 MB's on 125. It was pouring, buckets, with whipping wind and lighting, and at all 3 there was still a bunch of peeps outside in the rain, holding signs.
I don't think I'd be doing that for an ousted CEO.

Massachusetts governor Duvall Patrick told all the employees that have not gone to work that they should go back by Friday. I guess his wife being a lawyer for the current owners of the store now had nothing to do with it.

F&G released a memo today, telling store directors to remove all the boycott signs (a month into this fiasco), They also told associates not to block customer access to the stores.
I wonder what customers they are worried about-every market basket parking lot has been empty for month now.

Supposedly a deal was signed late last night to sell the whole thing to ATD. He's supposed to take over day to day operations effective immediately.
The only thing I don't understand is the news saying that Thornton & Gooch were going to remain CEO's for the next few months.

Nope but they do have a Democrat Mayor and it doesn't surprise me. I was just there and counted maybe 2 people with masks on.
