I can’t believe how much Andrea looks like a man.
I watched her Dateline piece last night.
I completely.believe her description of events, but may question her contention that she wasn’t looking for some sort of pay day from Cosby by having a ‘friendship’ with him.
When that question is presented to her, she sort of hesitates and then says, ‘of course not’.

I think that was established awhile ago. He came in at one point to deny it but I didn't much care if it was or wasn't. I just think it's all so silly.

Cosby is being sentenced tomorrow.
The judge has a lot of discretion. Cosby could get anywhere from probation to 30 years.
I hope he gets at least 5 years, no chance of early release. If he only gets probation, which I seriously doubt, it will be a slap in the face to his many victims and send a really bad message to entitled assholes who think they can get away with preying on people.

Today, the prosecution, the defense, and the victims presented their cases.
Prosecutors are recommending 10 years behind bars based on the violent nature of the crimes.
The defense is requesting probation based on Cosby's age, health, and the fact that he has no prior convictions.
The fact that Cosby still refuses to take responsibility (he's cussed out the judge and the court, claims there's a conspiracy, blah blah blah) isn't gonna help him any. He's such a pompous predatory asshole.
If he gets sentenced to incarceration, he's expected to request home confinement (again) until his appeal can be heard.
The judge will also decide whether or not Cosby has to register as a violent sex offender tomorrow.

The judge ruled that Cosby be designated a violent sexual predator.
He will need to be on the registry and report to police on a regular basis.
The judge will hand down Cosby's sentence shortly.

Cosby is going to state prison. Good.
He was just sentenced to 3 to 10 years and must participate in a sex offender program behind bars.
So, he'll be eligible for parole after 3 years. If he doesn't meet parole criteria, he could spend up to 10 years behind bars.

Sometimes it takes a lot of people talking about their experiences and really listening to them before we can understand what victims go through if we haven't gone through it ourselves.
Cosby is a piece of shit who hurt so many women. I'm really happy for his victims today and very much hope this helps to deter other creepy men from preying on women.
I wish blueberryhill was here to comment and hope she's okay. I miss her. She had a lot of perspective on sexual assault from her days as a flight attendant and beyond.

I just re-read this thread, not sure if I ever read it in its entirety before and I must say HoTD that you were persistent! OMG the number of times you and Blueberry answered the same question over and over. Ugh. I would have lost it!
When I worked in the mountains there was a DVD library of movies and shows that people would leave or send for people to watch. There was a whole collection of Bill Cosby shows on DVD and I asked the person who kept track of them if he was going to throw them out and he said no, saying, "Bill is still a funny guy" Whatever. So finally I had to organize the damn movies one day and I fucking threw them all out. Nobody said a thing.
Anyway, Bill didn't prey on those that were strong. A predator knows what to look for. It is sick, I am glad this process is over and I am glad he got sentenced.

Yeah, a lot of the girls/women he raped were young, naive and very trusting of the Dr. Huxtable image he projected. They really believed he'd chosen them to mentor because he saw such potential in them. In several cases, he spent a lot of time with their families before starting their 'mentorship', according to their consistent personal accounts. Grooming.
Some of the girls/women he preyed upon were strong initially though. He broke them down by drugging, mind-fucking and threatening them.
Cosby still won't accept responsibility for any of it. He really is a very sick individual.
Yet, he's still got a couple of enablers by his side. His publicist and his lawyer claimed yesterday that Cosby is the victim of 'a racist conspiracy' and compared Bill Cosby's jail sentence to the persecution of Christ.
His wife was not at his sentencing hearing. She'd stood by him til then, at least publicly. I don't know if she was complicit, brainwashed, scared, and/or just biding her time hoping he'd be put away.

from a few of the guards. (and that's all it will take to make his life in there easier)
