How hateful, judgmental, and self righteous of you.

Well, someone has to do it, Cutzie, and it might as well be me; who better than someone who "has seen shit?" I know of what I speak! *gets down off bandwagon.* Oh God, I am turning into Clangs....

In the way of the Buddha, we learn that only by accepting all things, including the intolerance of others, do we find the path to enlightenment.

Stop listening to other people tell you how to raise your kids for fucks sake. What if your kid is winner, what if winning comes easy to them, you're supposed to make them fail in order to learn how to deal with it on their summer vacation? Jesus Christ.

I spend just about every free moment I have with my kids kicking their ass at Chutes & Ladders and Go Fish.

They know how to lose with class & style.

Just let me repeat that I don't like people who call themselves Christians, but who are bigots, hypocrites, judgmental, self righteous, two faced, hateful, phony, etc. in the name of their religion.
That pretty much sums up all of Christianity in one way or another. Wouldn't it be easier to just say "I hate Christians?"

I'll admit that there are/have been many Christians who have fit BG's & Blueberry's description.

No denying it.

I was raised in a couple of Baptist churches during my youth. I felt a ton of phoniness.

I have, however, discovered the best congregation of my life at the church I currently attend.

A real moderate Lutheran congregation with my favorite pastor of all time. He's so genuine and sincere.

I wish everyone who can't stand 'church' and Christianity could listen to one of his 15 minute sermons. They're all about everyday life and being a better person and letting Christ's message shine through you.

No judgements, no fire and brimstone, no 'preaching'.

Of course, we all are shaped by our life's experiences....and I consider myself a spiritual person. I sometimes "feel" the presence of someone who is deceased, etc., but I don't need to go listen to a sermon once a week to sustain that spirituality. I was literally drug to Sunday School and Church by my very religious mother. I rebelled and quit going to church and my brother became a Jehovah Witness....He tried to convert me continually.

I believe those who find comfort in a church and are inspired by a pastor/priest/minister is wonderful. I sincerely mean that....I just have seen too many "non-Christians" in church that it left me with negative feelings. I go around with "Jesus loves me for I know....." churning around in my brain, just can't get that out of my head.

I certainly don't mean to put down Christianity as on all forms outlining my history and life, I identify myself as a Christian.....but it excludes judging others, and believes that all human beings should have a right to live their lives in peace and harmony without hate and bias. If there is a God/Jesus, then it is a forgiving God and loves us all. ( I learned that in Sunday School for pete's sake). There might be some exceptions to that.

Amen sister.

A pretty good for example: if Catholics (most Christians for that matter) voted as they are supposed to believe, there would be very few Democrats in office. Truth!

Until MS starts protesting fallen soldiers' funerals, I will not see him as a bad Christian.

In fact, as he claims his sexual prowess approaches the divine, I consider him as a missionary, of sorts.

Even if it is in his preferred position only.

There was a time in my youth when I enjoyed flipping my women around like cheese omelettes, but as I grow older, that classic Eurythmics tune 'Missionary Man' rings truer every single day.

Edit: just listened to a snippet of that tune. Annie and I are talking about different missionary men. lol

RE: MS IS A BAD CHRISTIAN - sally - 06-11-2015

My grandfather was a Methodist minister and a decent man and my grandmother was a wonderful woman and a devout Christian, although she didn't like niggers much. Once when we were visiting grandpa in the hospital and waiting on the elevator she whispered to me "eenie meenie miney mo, catch a nigger by his toe" and started laughing. Of course she had full blown alzheimers so it's possible that was the reason for her racist comment. But I don't think so because I remember as little girl her giving me a bath and calling the dirt between my toes nigger babies.

Anyway, I have know way of knowing if there is a god or not, but I can't fool myself intellectually and go along with what is preached from the bible when it sounds so ridiculous to me. I was born with a moral compass and instinctively know right from wrong without the presence of religion.

I like how this girl in one of my college Christian fellowship groups put it "Hate the sin, not the sinner."

Fuck that!

That's the excuse the Catholic hierarchy used to allow their priests to continue buggering boys!

"Hate the anal penetration . . . love the Father!"

I can't see a priest without wondering if he likes to dick around with boys. It's always the first thing that comes to mind.

That's funny, little boys have to confess to priests when you come to their mind.

Confess that they threw up and messed the pew up. She only has one tooth cried the boy in the confession booth.

RE: MS IS A BAD CHRISTIAN - Maggot - 06-13-2015

Here is todays "Dear Blabby"

DEAR ABBY: I am a 24-year-old Muslim woman who has fallen in love with an agnostic 35-year-old man, "William." The next step in our relationship is marriage, and my problem is our future kids.
My family expects me to marry a Muslim man and have Muslim children. William says that the kids may grow up not wanting to be Muslim, as I would like to raise them, and says he would support whatever they want to be.

I want my children to be Muslim, but I really love this man. My family and religion would not approve such a marriage. Do I walk away knowing I may never love a Muslim man the same way I love William, or marry William, risk the possibility of losing my family, and accept whatever else comes along on this difficult road? -- TORN ON THE WEST COAST

DEAR TORN: You appear to be a traditional, family-oriented young woman. I assume you are also involved in the Muslim community. If you marry William, the chances of losing all of that are great, and your likelihood of raising devout Muslim children in a household where both parents don't practice the religion will be less.

While you may not love someone else the way you love William, the chances that you will find someone else to love again are good. Because you had to ask me this question, I'm advising you to let William go. If you plan to go ahead with this, you need to have your eyes wide open about what the price will be -- because it will be high

Dear Blabby must believe that Christians should not marry Jews also.

I was raised as a Christian, but I'm not a practicing Christian, so am I still a Christian?

(I do pray (crutch mentality) when taking off, and sometimes when in grave danger, so . . )
