I love French toast, nom nom nom, but I only eat it on special days. I'm sorry I'm thinking about it.
I loved the stuff when I was a kid. Don't much care for it now unless it's "stuffed" french toast. That shit is the bomb yo.

What are the special days?

RE: FOOD FOR THOUGHT - Duchess - 06-09-2015

Christmas, any time I see my Dad. I only eat it a couple times a year.

RE: FOOD FOR THOUGHT - Jimbone - 06-09-2015

Those are special days... I eat French toast usually when I go to a diner.

They don't really have those out here though like you find them back east.

I lived in Miami Springs when I was based there with airline. Do you live close to Miami? There was the best BBQ place close by.....never found better than that.

I just remembered what we used to call a "fish taco"

One of your specialties Six? hah

I live about 5-6 hours away. Lots of good restaurants in Miami I here, but I've never been there long enough to try it all.

I know what your talking about but my brothers referred to it as a pink taco not a fish taco.

I'm so hungry.

When I hit it big I'm getting someone to make food for me.

RE: FOOD FOR THOUGHT - Donovan - 06-13-2015

The best fish I ever ate was plain ol' whitefish pulled out of Lake Detroit in Oregon. We were living hand to mouth that summer so eating basically depended on catching. We'd clean a mess of fish, butter and salt them up and wrap them in foil then cook them right on the fire. Best damn fish I ever ate.

RE: FOOD FOR THOUGHT - Duchess - 06-14-2015

...and the man said, "a deeply satisfying sauce made from bone marrow". Oh God. *gags*

RE: FOOD FOR THOUGHT - Donovan - 06-14-2015

I watched a documentary on the soccer team that crashed in the Andes and ate their dead to survive, and it was told by the survivors themselves. The way they described shaving bits off the bones of the dead (which was their own friends and family, by the way) to get calcium...skeeved me way worse than the actual cannibalism.

RE: FOOD FOR THOUGHT - sally - 06-14-2015

I could probably eat my friends (fucking assholes anyway) but I don't know about my family. When survival mode sits in I don't know if I could do it, I'd have to go looking for something else and probably die in the process.

RE: FOOD FOR THOUGHT - sally - 06-14-2015

I just read what I wrote and I didn't mean I could eat my friend's assholes.

The book "Alive" is a better account than the documentary. But books always are.

I could see where it coulda been read that way, but I knew that wasn't what you were saying, sal.

Seriously though, if you were starving to death, would eat your asshole friends' assholes in order to stay alive?

I think that's the real question here.
