Should eggs be considered meat? - Maggot - 01-05-2016 I see some vegetarians eat eggs and I would think that eggs would be considered meat. Its just a chicken embryo. What's the verdict? RE: Should eggs be considered meat? - crash - 01-05-2016 There are so many variants of vegetarian these days, good luck with trying to pigeon hole them with a single food. RE: Should eggs be considered meat? - QueenBee - 01-05-2016 It is a protein...but I think not in the meat family in it's egg form. I have a friend who considers herself a vegetarian who said she could never be full vegan because she likes eggs and fish. But I think she is not even a real vegetarian. She just does not eat beef and pork. RE: Should eggs be considered meat? - Cutz - 01-05-2016 I think vegetarians shouldn't eat eggs. I eat eggs sometimes. Love a good bacon and cheese omelette. They can eat fish tho, I don't like fish. A vegan described it like this: "If it has eyes, don't eat it". Eggs don't have eyes. All of this begs the bigger question: Are pigeons meat? They're cold-blooded (and ruthless) and are made up of mostly feathers and gristle. I vote yes, though. . . because... they have eyes.
