Fixed. I don't want them to have more time to enjoy themselves.

Hey! Today is the first day of Winter! Love025

Summer, you shouldn't have been so sucky or I wouldn't have been glad to see you go.

*enters the thread with his speedo, tu-tu, green goggles, red striped tube socks pulled up to the knee caps and of course roller blades*

Holler!

This was an attempt to get aussiebitch to post not to comment on her daily wardrobe.

It's the first day of Winter, is it snowing anywhere? It feels like Spring here. Smiley_emoticons_slash

Not here. Its in single digit weather when I go off to work, and in the 20's and 30's when I come home.

We have daylight savings here, and it starts to get daylight around 4.30am-5am and the sun goes down at 9pm. We suffer brutal winters and this one was tough. So summer is a welcome time for us.

We are have a seafood lunch tomorrow, we are going to watch funny movies, Jerry Lewis, and Ricky Gervais David Brent on the road.

Then next week we will be having BBQs. Such a great time of year here.

Aussie, what does a 'brutal winter' mean to you?

Snow, ice, 0F temps?

I'd just like to know what an Australian winter is like.

RE: Tomorrow is Australians longest day - Duchess - 12-27-2016

I don't know about snow & ice but I have heard her talk about how cold it is and I know she has four distinct seasons, they are going into their warmest months now.

RE: Tomorrow is Australians longest day - Maggot - 01-15-2017

I cannot even imagine the face on aussiebitch if she had to drive in the snow. I bet I would laugh though at any rate.

RE: Tomorrow is Australians longest day - aussiefriend - 01-15-2017

It's a beautiful blue sky day here, expected high of 26c.

MWS, a brutal winter is when it is cold, and cold for a long time. Like longer than it should be. The thing is, the other night, it was cold outside, it should have been warmer and you should have just been able to wear a t-shirt, but you needed a jacket too.

We have snow down here on the mountain where I live, but it's not the heaps of snow you have in your joint where you need a machine to clear the road. I also live near the beach, so it's the best of both worlds, but sometimes I get sick of the cold and am over it. However, I don't want to be hot and sweaty all the time either.

RE: Tomorrow is Australians longest day - Maggot - 01-15-2017

Is that 56 f ? 32+26 am I close? Is that typical summer heat? C'mon spit it in my hand so I can read it.

RE: Tomorrow is Australians longest day - aussiefriend - 01-15-2017

Maggot, we have daylight savings here in Summer, it's pretty cool. Sun goes down here around 9pm. 26 celcius = 78.8F. With a seabreeze and at night you can hear the waves. Just perfect.

But can you hear the screams as the giant spiders and Tasmanian Devils devour you?

They only come out at night. Mostly.

RE: Tomorrow is Australians longest day - aussiefriend - 01-19-2017

That's crap Clang. The Tasmanian Devils are high up in the colder parts of the Tasmanian forest, AND you can see and pat a Tassie Devil in the Zoo's they have here. I think I have a picture with one here somewhere.
