If Cohen paid her in Donald's name, laws were broken. The crux of the matter is whether he lied about it, whether the lawyer was reimbursed, whether an affair occurred at all. Not to mention, if an affair or multiple affairs are proven, in NY state adultery is grounds for nullification of existing contracts i.e. prenuptial agreements. Like the one Melania most likely signed.
Now how many lawyers do you suppose would be willing, in NY state, to take on that case?

Sometimes I think he has her under some kind of contract right now. I do, I wonder if he has agreed to pay her gobs of money for hanging in there for the length of his term. I haven't been following the Stormy Daniels story very closely.
We already know how Trump treats women; he told us himself before people voted him into office. And, I don't care about consensual affairs, personally.
I did watch a video of the interview this morning. I don't have any doubt that Trump's people are lying when they deny the sexual encounter took place. Since those lies aren't under oath, there's not really any violation of laws as far as I can see.
I think the real threat to Trump in this story is whether he paid his personal "Ray Donovan-wannabe" attorney Michael Cohen back for the hush money. That could be a violation of campaign finance laws. But, even that would likely result in nothing but a fine.
If someone really did threaten Daniels with physical violence while she was with her child and she can identify the person, however, the person who made the threats could face criminal charges and so could anyone who put him up to it. But, it doesn't appear she knew the alleged threat-maker, based on her interview with Anderson Cooper.
Anyway, I was kinda surprised to read this morning that her interview garnered 60 Minutes its highest ratings since 2008.

Well, the affair and NDA revelations don't seem to be hurting President Trump at this time.
His approval rating, according to the polls everyone loves so much, is higher than it's been since his 100-day mark.
He's about 4 points lower than Reagan and Obama at the same points in their first terms. CNN has his approval rating at 42% and FOX at 45%.
