hah ...........amazing!

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 09-26-2018

I watched and listened to Trump's press conference in full.

I can't imagine how anyone in their right mind could categorize it as "normal" and "how most people speak".

Then again, I'm not surrounded by people who speak in unfocused, self-centered, inaccurate, hyperbolic, boastful, grievance-filled ramblings. So, to me, it was an extremely bizarre display.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 09-26-2018

If anyone wants to watch Trump's press conference today, here's the video.

The unscripted Q&A starts at 5:20.

I'd rather have explosive diarrhea.

They should let him talk everyday for 80 minutes, let his "very, very large brain" get a workout. 28

It was pretty goddamn funny too when he used Sean Hannity & FOX as legitimate sources to back him up.

Republicans, you own this, this is the person y'all think is doing such a great job. Any day now I expect him to start barking at passing cars.

Trump could walk out of a burning building with a baby and you would say he lit the fire and was carrying the baby wrong so eh........whats new?

Aww c'mon! You know better than that. Your statement may apply to me but HotD is fair, she gives credit where due. Always.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 09-27-2018

Bullshit Mags. I’d praise Trump without hesitation if he saved a baby’s life.

The issue is that you have no objectivity whatsoever when it comes to Trump. Nada.

If Trump was caught on surveillance video lighting the building on fire before grabbing the baby on the way out.... you’d blame the building or the baby, label the unedited footage and news coverage ‘fake’, and insist that everyone who condemned Trump for the arson was a radical Trump-hating liberal.

President Trump put on a bizarre performance yesterday, increasingly so as it progressed. It wasn’t only bizarre by presidential standards. It was bizarre by any rational standard.

He doesn't even hold trump to the same standard he held President Obama to.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Maggot - 09-27-2018

Oh i know Trump brags and stumbles through sentences, he is brash and a blowhard. narcissistic and treats the media badly but...............

He is doing his job
ISIS is just about beat
N. Korea is somewhat under control
Iran is changing for the better
The economy is on fire
The UN is now paying their fair share
NAFTA is getting reworked

its a trade off worth the trade.

Also, he pisses off the Dems and liberals. That is great and worth more than any of it. Just look here its funny as all hell. people let themselves get mad.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 09-27-2018

I don't see people getting mad unjustifiably here very often Mags.

But, you seem to get mad and defensive more than most when it comes to politics, in my observation.

Anyway, when you claim that you consider this President's greatest value to be that he doesn't attempt to represent all citizens and instead angers and disappoints so many with whom you disagree............I believe you (and it reinforces my point).

I said he speaks normal and not like a politician. All of my customers have said pretty much the same thing and when asked about the speech they say he went around the room talking to quite a few people. One guy that hates him just started flipping out and cursing him and just went all aggresive about it but 1 out of 20 isn't bad.  I have noticed that about the left they certainly have anger issues. I'm not saying you do but man, don't they get all furious! All one has to do is look at the protesters in the gallery during the nomination progress to see how really nutso they have become.

It's not very healthy to carry all that baggage every day, and any normal person can only chuckle at the childish games. IMHO

They were a sane very hinged bunch chasing Cruz out of a restaurant. They were the very definition of rational.

Agree entirely and here is the thing. How is any of the above NOT representing ALL Americans. Why are one side not giving him due credit and instead picking on sentence stumbles and the like?

There HAS to be reason right?

Democrats' Emoluments Suit Against Trump Approved by Judge

A federal judge ruled Friday that congressional Democrats have standing to sue President Donald Trump over what they claim are violations of an arcane constitutional clause because he is still conducting business overseas.

There are two separate lawsuits aimed at the president for allegedly violating the emoluments clause of the Constitution, which bars elected officials from receiving gifts, payments, or benefits from foreign governments without the consent of Congress.

US District Judge Emmet Sullivan ruled that roughly 200 members of Congress, led by Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut and Democratic Rep. Jerrold Nadler of New York, had standing to sue Trump because he did not ask Congress before accepting anything that could be considered a foreign emolument.

The judge ruled that because Trump's business' acceptance of revenue from foreign entities was not approved by Congress, members have a right to sue and find out whether Trump is indeed in violation. Sullivan ruled that Trump has an obligation to get Congress to approve such foreign business.

This lawsuit is distinct from one filed by the attorneys general for Washington, DC, and Maryland. A federal judge found that those attorneys general had standing because of the impact foreign business at Trump's Washington, DC, hotel was having on other businesses in their jurisdictions.   https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-emoluments-clause-lawsuit-judge-democrats-standing-2018-9?r=UK&IR=T
