Homeland Security Secretary turned Chief of Staff, General John Kelly, has been rumored to be out the door so many times over the last year.
This time, it's confirmed to be imminently true. President Trump announced this morning that Kelly will be leaving at the end of the month.
My impression of Kelly changed significantly during his time with the Trump Administration. I admired him when he was a non-political (publicly) military leader.
But.......even people who hold positions requiring judgments that aren't affected by political considerations likely hold strong political beliefs, to which they're entitled.
Anyway, the name I'm seeing most as Kelly's likely replacement is Nick Ayers (pictured left with Kelly), a youthful but experienced political operative who serves as Chief of Staff to Vice President Mike Pence.
In Ayers, Trump reportedly sees what Kelly was not: a wily political operative whose focus would be on politics and campaigning as the president looks toward his re-election bid.

I still don't think Trump will be indicted and charged with any criminal activity while he's in office. But, it's possible.
Depending on the evidence in Mueller's report, I can see the Democrats pushing for impeachment if they perceive there is enough public support for such a move though.
That obstructionist asshole Mitch McConnell was right when he said that the Republicans' impeachment of Bill Clinton backfired on them at the polls. I hope the Democrats will be smart and strategic when weighing the pros and cons of taking that route.
The evidence of intentional wrong-doing would have to be virtually indisputable to get the Republican Senate to support impeachment, in my opinion. And, there seem to be a lot of Republicans who wouldn't care if Trump broke the law for his own gain at the expense of the country, or who would claim it's a witch hunt even when presented with strong evidence of guilt.
Tricky business.

This morning, ranking Democratic House Intelligence Committee member Adam Schiff told 'Face the Nation':
"There's a very real prospect that on the day Donald Trump leaves office the Justice Department may indict him. That he may be the first president in quite some time to face the real prospect of jail time."
He added, "We have been discussing the issue of pardons that the president may offer to people or dangle in front of people, the bigger pardon question may come down the road as the next president has to determine whether to pardon Donald Trump."

No, Fry Guy, no, he isn't. No one of any quality OR qualifications wants to be associated with this administration. I think he declined the job because he sees the scrutiny others are going through, maybe not the only reason but I believe it's A reason, probably one of many.

I had no reply for it.
OH! I did watch Sarah SIlverman on her show called, "I love America" for her Thanksgiving special she was saying how thankful she was that now more people are paying attention to politics and how we did get comfortable. She also said some things that happened during the Obama administration that weren't right, so she wasn't just completely ragging on Trump, but mostly she was. But I get what she was saying because I too was not involved in politics other than voting.

What I mean is that you don't know him.....at all. He leaves his job because he is choosing family over work. More power to him. He will be replaced with another Republican of about the same credentials and experience.
None of this is Earth shattering. But it has you cheering his departure.

It's a "big thing" when the president of the United States of America cannot get qualified people to work for him, particularly when it's normally such a coveted job. Wait until you see who he puts in there, that will show you just how difficult it is to fill that role and why it's a big deal.
