College students had been exempt, they changed the rules in midstream and Clinton was fortunate enough to have some strings pulled so he could accept a Rhodes scholarship to Oxford. I don't really consider that dodging the draft when it's in pursuit of higher education.

The podiatrist that wrote the note died quite a few years ago maybe 2007. the N.Y. Times article used the Daughters of the Doctors statement to say that. but buried down in the 30th paragraph they also say that they hate Trump and that they say this because that's what their father told them years ago. Much like saying he didn't visit troops even though Trump went to Iraq in a planned visit planned weeks ago. Just like the Syria withdrawal we have maybe 2000 troops there and maybe 5000 in Iraq. all thats heard is the Dems knashing their teeth about it. Have they become the party of war? After seeing Obama claiming that his presidency would be the most transparent there ever was and seeing all the manipulating done in private it's refreshing to see Trump become the most transparent presidency and the one that actually fulfills his election promises.

Trump also recycled a claim from last year that the military hasn't gotten a raise in 10 years and he insisted that they will receive over a 10% increase in their paychecks. All lies and easily checked. And yeah, he turned it into another political rally where he autographed MAGA hats, etc which is a big no-no for DOD personnel. And you know what? I'm not going to place all the blame on Trump. It's his thing. The military should have put a halt to his theatrics to protect their people but here we are with a Seal team exposed.
