RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 06-18-2019 (06-18-2019, 11:04 AM)BigMark Wrote: cheeses dutch. Cheese n rice! RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Rootilda - 06-18-2019 Hours before President Trump was due to hold a rally in Orlando billed as the kickoff to his reelection campaign, the Orlando Sentinel announced who it is endorsing for president in 2020: not Donald Trump. “Some readers will wonder how we could possibly eliminate a candidate so far before an election, and before knowing the identity of his opponent,” the paper said in a scathing editorial on Tuesday. “Because there’s no point pretending we would ever recommend that readers vote for Trump.” The Sentinel has mostly endorsed Republicans since 1960, but in recent years it has been more independent, backing Democrats in 2004 (John Kerry over George W. Bush), 2008 (Barack Obama over John McCain) and 2016 (Hillary Clinton over Trump). It endorsed Republican Mitt Romney over Obama in 2012. But Trump’s erratic behavior and petulant, dishonest statements in office pushed the Sentinel to its non-endorsement. “After 2 1⁄2 years we’ve seen enough,” the editorial board said. “Enough of the chaos, the division, the schoolyard insults, the self-aggrandizement, the corruption, and especially the lies.” The Sentinel pointed to the Washington Post’s “Fact Checker,” a database that has documented more than 10,000 false or misleading claims made by Trump since he took office. “There was a time when even a single lie — a phony college degree, a bogus work history — would doom a politician’s career,” the Sentinel said. “Not so for Trump, who claimed in 2017 that he lost the popular vote because millions of people voted illegally (they didn’t). In 2018 he said North Korea was no longer a nuclear threat (it is). And in 2019 he said windmills cause cancer (they don’t). Just last week he claimed the media fabricated unfavorable results from his campaign’s internal polling (it didn’t).” The editorial was published to coincide with Trump’s Tuesday night rally at Orlando’s Amway Center. On Monday night, hundreds of people began lining up outside the arena, which has a capacity of about 20,000. Earlier Monday, Trump tweeted that there had been more than 100,000 ticket requests for the rally, which will also include first lady Melania Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Karen Pence. He has held dozens of rallies around the country since his inauguration and filed paperwork for his reelection just hours after being sworn in. Supporters of President Trump, seen here Monday, were lined up more than 24 hours before his rally in Orlando. (Photo: John Raoux/AP) Trump said there would be “large movie screens” and food trucks to accommodate those who do not make it inside. On Tuesday, he complained that the media refuses to report that “Republican enthusiasm is at an all time high.” “Look what is going on in Orlando, Florida, right now! People have never seen anything like it (unless you play a guitar),” Trump tweeted. The president didn’t indicate which musician he was comparing his popularity to. “Going to be wild,” he added. “See you later!” RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 06-18-2019 (06-18-2019, 01:14 PM)Rootilda Wrote: “Some readers will wonder how we could possibly eliminate a candidate so far before an election, and before knowing the identity of his opponent,” the paper said in a scathing editorial on Tuesday. “Because there’s no point pretending we would ever recommend that readers vote for Trump.”Womp Womp RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - BigMark - 06-18-2019 coo lah dan da be tells! RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 06-19-2019 president nitwit had a Klan rally last night and took credit for a bill that President Obama signed into law in 2014. He hates President Obama but doesn't have a problem taking credit for his good work...just like cheaters everywhere. Earlier in the day I saw an older white woman in the crowd outside waiting to get in. A reporter was asking her questions and the thing that stood out to me was the old lady saying the president doesn't lie, she said all the journalists were lying but not trump. She firmly believed everything trump said, facts were irrelevant to her and proof of his lies were meaningless. It was some very freaky shit to see. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - pyropappy - 06-19-2019 RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 06-19-2019 *points* Look! Another person from the intellectual wasteland checks in. You're in the wrong thread, ding dong. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Fry Guy - 06-19-2019 (06-19-2019, 05:18 AM)Duchess Wrote: *points* Look! RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Rootilda - 06-19-2019 So I guess last week Biden promised to cure cancer if he's elected which prompted Trump to promise the same thing yesterday in Florida. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 06-19-2019 Jesus. I wonder why Biden would say that. He also recently made a comment about a racist. I'm unsure of all the details about that as I only know that he said the guy called him son rather than boy. I don't like anything that makes it sound as if he's justifying something like that. There is no justification for racism. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Maggot - 06-19-2019 Well Obama was going to make the waters recede he may as well cure cancer. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Fry Guy - 06-19-2019 Biden is an empty suit. At least Obama had personality, grace, poise, charm and intellect. Joe has none of that. But who in the Democrats is better? Mayor Pete and Warren and Harris but they are terrible in their own ways RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - pyropappy - 06-20-2019 you poor progressive wenches suffering from TDS, I'm going to help you. First we check your eye sight: if you can read that we need to examine your head next, but first you will need to remove it from your ass, I'll wait. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Maggot - 06-20-2019 Trump is getting plenty of cash for his re-election bid. 24 million in 24 hrs. They say it's the economy and the money that win elections.......39 mil if you include the RNC match. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 06-20-2019 That came from Ronna McDaniel, the same Ronna who stopped using Romney after trump suggested she do so. I'm unsure why anyone would believe anything coming from this administration but hey, knock yourself out, buddy. You know the caliber of people you're dealing with and you're a big boy. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Maggot - 06-20-2019 However, Trump’s presidential campaign did not have the greatest fundraising total of the past quarter. His campaign’s haul was bested by Beto O’Rourke, the Democratic candidate for Senate in Texas, who raised an unprecedented $38m. BETO IS BEATING HIM THOUGH |
