RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 10-01-2019

I was just reading about that. It was said that they were particularly vulnerable to tariffs because they use imported scrape metal.

I think it's only a matter of time before we begin hearing about farmers going through their own bankruptcies. The bailouts they've been given are already more than twice the size that President Obama gave the auto industry.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Rootilda - 10-01-2019

It's absolutely killing small farmers, they're losing the land that their families have farmed for generations. We're eventually going to have big ag running the whole show.

That's very sad. I can only imagine the amount of stress and heartache that causes.

I have to stay out of these threads this week otherwise I will get nothing done! Lets see how well I do! Maybe I can just read them but not participate? I don't know. I think I better avoid them all togehter.
What could happen in a week?

And I was talking about you Fry Guy. Your posts come across as "about to pop a vein". Not saying you are, and you uually claim you are calm, but that is not how they read for me.

But Mirah it would be very silly to think that a man who has made their way through 48 years of life is going to be freaked out or angered (or whatever you are trying to indicate) to the point of popping a vein, because of disembodied words on the computer by a internet forum full of people I do not know, to whom I am connection only through here, and of which I voluntarily post....wouldn't it?

Read that aloud to yourself and see whether that makes any sense at all. If it doesn't then it probably makes sense not to keep telling me not to do that which was never in question. It would be like me telling you not to get hit by lightening. What would be the correct response to that? "Huh?", "Yeah Righto", "What the Fuck are you on about?". Repeating it would not lend it any more credence or make any sense.

So why do you imagine I or any one would give something like this forum that much power or connection. What do you honestly know about me and what do I honestly know about you. What do you think I could say about you that would cause you untold anguish that could not be washed away with turning off the computer, calling me an arsehole and being nasty back or mocking me? Be honest. Why do you no think that would not apply to anyone else here?

Don't get struck by lightning.

Three paragraphs insisting that nothing here upsets him because we're just disembodied voices in the wind yet he's been bitching at Duchess for days. Pfffft.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - MirahM - 10-01-2019

Exactly.
It is fucking hilarious.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Fry Guy - 10-01-2019

Interesting

What exactly am i pretending. Please use your insight in being a 48 year old Australian man, just so you have a baseline of an informed opinion.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 10-02-2019

Holy fuckity fuck. Anyone see that press conference? OMG. Ahahahahahahaha!

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Maggot - 10-02-2019

aHEM.............I hate to interrupt the circular firing squad with Trump in the middle but did anyone here notice that we are all living in a time with the fewest wars and the best income for the middle class then at any other time? Please let the hate continue flowing, embrace it.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Rootilda - 10-02-2019

The fewest wars? I'd like a reputable link verifying both of those claims, please.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Maggot - 10-02-2019

OK

here on OurWorldInData.org which presents empirical data showing that we are now living in the most peaceful time in our species’ existence.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Rootilda - 10-02-2019

That's interesting, thank you. However it's disingenuous of you to attribute it to Trump.

Now how about a link to your claim about the middle class?

So you can denounce that out of hand too?

Well to be truthful I did not in that instance attribute that to Trump although I know he has had a heavy hand in it I did not say that, another bending of words that is common on the left. As far as the middle class goes the numbers have grown and they are now making more than they did before, the employment numbers being up as high as they are is proof of that.

When things are going well it is the job of the left especially if it is under a GOP umbrella to vilify other things and the media is expected to carry the water of not making it newsworthy.  With this impeachment talk most Americans can see that after trying to get Trump on collusion and getting the Meullar probe to inspect the President he has been exonerated and can see this is just another try at getting him out of office. Even though the country is better off now than it was before he got in they are still trying.

Ever since he was elected they have been attempting to get him out, he won and that was not what they wanted. Like petulant children they continue to pester him and it is a very visible temper tantrum.

Most Americans see this and chalk it up in the same category as changing Columbus day to indigenous peoples day and taxes and taking down statues. No poll will be able to judge the American spirit in this the left has gone over the edge. Ut started as a trickle but has turned into Niagara. Considering that they call themselves the smartest people on the planet I'm surprised they  didn't see this coming.

Yes Trump has raised 103 million is the last few days money talks and bullshit walks as we all know.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Fry Guy - 10-03-2019

Unless your name is Hillary Clinton

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Maggot - 10-03-2019

Has the house had a roll call vote on impeachment? You can't run around saying inquiries are impeachment proceedings without a vote with all the Reps being called on.
