Yeah, he said he didn't know the answer to the question that he was asked, and he then extended his answer.
He said that he knew her, had lived near her, and extended well wishes to the accused sex trafficker/abuser of minors.
It's that answer which was the point of the discussion here. Why wish an accused sexual criminal well? I'm not convicting her before the evidence is presented and wouldn't expect Trump to do so either.
I also wouldn't wish a federally accused sexual criminal well and don't think any unbiased and sensible person (including and especially the U.S. President) would do so either. But, that's what President Trump did.
In any case, whether Maxwell has big names to name in exchange for leniency or not.........the President should respect the separation of powers and let the criminal justice system handle it.
Why didn't he just say he doesn't know anything about her defense and the case is being handled by the Justice Department? -- easy, appropriate, and no potential tainting of a jury pool. Wishing her well was either moronic or something worse (beyond obtuse, in my opinion).

I don't know who "you people" are and what it has to do with the criminal case against Ghislaine Maxwell or Trump's response when asked about it.
But, I guess you're lumping me in to some ambiguous group again. I don't know or care why.
I do know that I didn't make Trump take an "azheimers" test, and (according to Trump himself) neither did anyone else.
What I do know from Trump's own account is that two years ago he requested a very basic cognition test as part as his 2018 physical and he says he passed it flying colors. He bragged about passing that test then and now he's bragging about it again and challenging Biden to take it.

We didn't have the luxury of ordering that screening for him, that came from his own people. There must have been concerns about dementia, otherwise there wouldn't have been a reason for the screening and he's still running around proudly exclaiming that he was able to identify an elephant so I can see why there was some concern. He was screened for dementia and that's the conversation people should be having.
trump has been friends with Maxwell for many, many years. He knows exactly who she is and the role she played with Epstein.
