Well Comrade Trump has promised to make Amerikka great again. I always thought America was great, I really did.

Rational people know America is great and has always been great. Don't listen to trump, Aussie, he's full of shit and only speaks to his base. He knows his audience and I'm pretty sure he feels confident they'll believe whatever bullshit he's spoon feeding them on any given day.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 02-15-2017

President Trump really ought to stop whining about 'terrible, criminal leaks' and address his campaign's known and alleged Russian collaborations head on, in my opinion.

Administrations have leaks, period, especially if the executive has thrown rocks at the establishment and just about everyone else in the government.

And, it just sounds stupid and hypocritical to hear him avoiding the allegations and decrying the leaks....given that he's the man who loudly and publicly praised Wikileaks and encouraged Russia to illegally hack Clinton during his campaign.

He went on a tweet storm earlier about that. Hehehe. He's such a fool. I know that more than a couple journalists want to ask him why, if it was all fake news, did he fire/or accept the resignation of Flynn.

Earlier today he was asked about the rise in anti-Semitism in the US and he responded with comments about winning the electoral college. What is wrong with him?! He brings that up a lot and certainly with the few leaders he has welcomed to the WH.

As an aside, Sean's press briefings are getting better ratings than daytime television in general. hah

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 02-15-2017

Anyone who believes that the media or leakers is the problem is missing the point.

If Flynn had done nothing wrong, he wouldn't have been asked (or volunteered) to resign after only three weeks of service.

Plus, as is becoming usual, the messages from the administration are all over the map and contradictory. Kellyanne Conway said that President Trump had full confidence in Flynn when the shit started hitting the fan. Hours later, Flynn was out and Sean Spicer told the media that it was an erosion of trust that did Flynn in, specifically the fact that Flynn misled the Vice President who'd vouched for him publicly based on misinformation.

Now, Trump is blaming leaks and the "fake media" for problems with his staff/administration and claiming Flynn was treated unfairly. That makes no sense, unless Trump's implying that he would have found it perfectly acceptable for Flynn to mislead the American people and the Vice President so long as he hadn't gotten caught (which is not exactly confidence-inspiring).

I believe that to be true and I don't think I'm alone in that thought. There hasn't been a single day without a lie coming from this administration. They don't value the truth and I don't think many of the Republicans doing the people's business value it either. To see people like Rand Paul say something to the effect of, "I don't believe we should be investigating other Republicans" to that POS Jason Chaffetz say there wouldn't be an investigation into Flynn because it had taken care of itself, is disgusting. I think many of those Republicans are scared shitless of trump. They are cucks, trump has emasculated them.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 02-15-2017

I don't get the sense that most established Republicans are afraid of President Trump; I get the sense that some people working in his inner circle are afraid to tell him the truth and oppose him though.

Most elected Republicans are largely just trying to get as much of their agenda accomplished as possible while they have control of both houses of Congress and a very unpredictable and inexperienced leader in the White House. They don't want to focus on Trump's shortcomings, they want to work around him. That's how it looks to me, anyway.

I think it's gonna get ugly when the segment of Republican politicians who are demanding full repeal of Obamacare start putting the pressure on hard. Most Americans don't want a full repeal and have made that clear. Trump's administration and some Republicans have been backing off the 'repeal' plan for weeks now (many, undoubtedly, with an eye towards their re-election chances in 2018).

As for Flynn, I understand there's an FBI investigation underway. If there's evidence of wrong-doing and/or lying to FBI investigators, there will likely be hearings. Democrats and some Republicans are pushing for an independent or special committee investigation. Others believe the current House/Senate committees are equipped to handle such matters and the nature of the information would be better kept out of the public domain. But, it is quite something to see some of the same people who spent millions to investigate Clinton's Benghazi claims over and over and over for political gain.......with no wrong-doing uncovered.......want to brush aside an allegation of Russian election collusion.

I'd like to see evidence as to what Flynn (and possibly other members of the Trump campaign) discussed with the Russian intelligence officials.

It sure is. They won't even hold trump to the very same standard they've held others to. I'm not kiddin' when I say I'd like to shove Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan & Jason Chaffetz up trump's ass.

What was his daughter doing sitting at a round table with a world leader and top admin people? Why was she sitting in his chair? Was it meet the kids day?

She has no official role in the administration and it is completely inappropriate for her to be at these meetings. This is not some real estate junket.

Trust you! I don't believe that for a second. She shouldn't have been sitting in that seat in the first place. You have to earn that spot at the table. It is not a birthright and one that is given just because you are somebody's kid!

I think she's sitting there because she can. I think it's just that simple. I also think that if he could make a dime by letting visitors sit there and have their picture taken, he would.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 02-16-2017

Man, I just caught this morning's press conference. That was weird.

We definitely need a stellar National Security Adviser, now more than ever. I was disappointed to read tonight that Vice Admiral Harward turned down the offer.

Snip:
President Donald Trump's choice for national security adviser, retired Vice Admiral Robert Harward, has turned down the offer, a senior White House official said on Thursday.

Harward was offered the job after Michael Flynn was fired by Trump on Monday for misleading Vice President Mike Pence over his conversations with Russia's ambassador to the United States.

The White House official said Harward cited family and financial reasons for opting not to take the job. Harward is a senior executive at Lockheed Martin.

Two sources familiar with the decision said Harward turned down the job in part because he wanted to bring in his own team.

Weird is an understatement! hah

He seems to be a bit rattled by the leaks and he can't force a government worker to sign an NDA. HaHaFuckingHa.

Every single time he trots out Hillary and the Electoral College I see how needy he is. This is not a man who is confident. I see it when he tells the media he is a nice guy too. Wah, I'm nice, why won't you treat me kindly? *snicker*

When he said his WH was running like a fine tuned machine I laughed & laughed. It's a dumpster fire, you ignorant fuck.

I don't think this shit will ever get old.
