28 What? What has he done that has accomplished more in 40-some days than Obama did in 8 years?

Well lemme see..Here are a few:
Ended catch and release
started deporting illegal criminals
killed dodd/frank...I don't agree with all that though
killed trans pac
Kept a shit load of jobs here that would be gone today
dropped the deficit a touch
Put a hold on federal hiring other than military
Taken some of the wind out of the medias sails
Got the pipeline deals done

So with all that I am prepared to let him keep running with his plan
Barry didn't do one positive thing for this country other than the car makers bailout. A lot of people objected to that but its One thing he did that I agreed with
His ACA plan was complete bullshit, racism was resurrected to new heights and we had people waging war on the police.
Oh and he managed to confuse half the country on which restroom to use

Spot on! 44

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 03-08-2017

You've had blinders on for a long time, Six (and Cars).

As has been pointed out to you umpteen times, Obama deported more illegal and undocumented immigrants than all of his recent predecessors combined; he tossed thousands of immigrant criminals out on their asses.

TPP was dead for over a year before Trump took office, much to the disappointment of many a conservative Republican.

Trump has created no jobs that weren't already planned by the companies before he took office -- check it out. If you're paying any objective attention at all, you should be keenly aware by now that just because he hypes it as "his doing" doesn't make it so. But, I hope he succeeds in creating a lot of jobs moving forward.

Racism has been around forever and racists (the outward and inward ones) had a real field day with Obama. He didn't create racism, he didn't endorse it but condemned it, and he didn't make it so that people with cell videos started catching cops shooting people and lying about it. Blaming Obama for racism and distrust of police officers is idiotic.

Trump is not responsible for any deficit reduction, not even a "touch". Many of his promises/proposals would increase the deficit, that's one of the main reasons he and Paul Ryan are so often at odds policy-wise.

Trump hasn't gotten any pipelines 'done' -- he signed executive orders so they can continue. But, for those who support the pipelines, I agree that counts as a partial accomplishment.

Half the country is confused about which bathroom to use? 28 That's absolutely moronic. I don't believe that half the country is moronic. But, it's true that the very small percentage of the population who happen to be trans aren't confident about being able to use the bathroom which matches their gender identity now that Trump has repealed that law.

President Trump's travel/immigration ban was an absolute mess -- I could have written an Executive Order with more common sense. The Wall is not being paid for by Mexico and is more likely to morph into more fencing and border control agents, as the Democratic and most the other Republican candidates proposed. The American Health Care Act proposal is vague and it's shiite, in my opinion, and a number of smart Republicans agree.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 03-08-2017

Obama lost a lot support from 2008 to 2012 from immigration groups and blacks who found him way too centrist and not liberal enough.

And...........Obama's administration got the U.S. out of a terrible inherited recession, greatly reduced the unemployment rate, managed to keep U.S.boots on the ground out of new wars for the most part, negotiated a nuclear arms deal with Iran and a chemical weapons deal with Syria, legalized gay marriage, pushed through the closest thing to universal health care this country has ever seen (albeit flawed), etc..

Check your facts once in a while, gentlemen.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Carsman - 03-08-2017

My blinders are "clear" HotD, what color are yours?

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 03-08-2017

Blinders can't be "clear" Cars. That makes no sense.

To answer your question, I don't wear blinders.

Which of my statements contradicting Six's claims, which you applauded, do you want to contest?

If you can't contest them with facts, then my assertion that you're wearing blinders is undisputed.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Carsman - 03-08-2017

To answer your question, you do wear blinders, Rosie colored blinders!

Yeah, Cars, I clearly have a real problem with fact, objectivity and realism (to anyone who's had his head up his ass for the last 6 years).

Try to stay focused on reality here, if you can, Cars.

Again.........if you can't contest what I commented in response to Six, my assertion that you're wearing blinders remains undisputed (or, quite possibly, you were just being a suck-up).

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - SIXFOOTERsez - 03-08-2017

Cars, for some folks Trump could be the Second coming and that would Not be enough

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 03-08-2017

Bullshit, Six.

I've given Trump credit where due.

I won't give him credit where it's not due, however. That's what you did in several of your claims, which comes across to me as you believing that Trump IS the second coming. He's not.

Neither was Obama. I did not support Obama's actions/words on several occasions, which obviously doesn't mean he did "nothing" in office, as you wrongly claimed.

I did laugh seriously hard over your absurd contention that Obama caused half of the American public to be confused about which bathroom to use. So, thanks for the unintended comedic value.

Six I can't believe you are still supporting him after all this Russia shit has come out. Even a high profile Republican has tweeted that if a Federal judge has allowed him to be tapped that means there is probable cause which means he is in deep shit.

Come on Six wake up. Don't be a retard.

I come here for entertainment and sometimes for a few laughs, and to forget real world problems. When I see someone post something I like, I say so. Don't need to spend time researching!

I can't be bothered to spend hours looking up facts just to please you D, so I will
continue to post as I please whether you like it or not! Rude Bully Biotch!

Whenever I see your 1000 word posts, I just skip over them, I don't have time to
read your insults to many of us here!

Of course you will always have to have the LWB!

(So will not reply again to this post. So I now have the LW)

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 03-09-2017

Calling someone rude while calling them a bitch and dissing their posting habits. Hahaha. Oh man.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 03-09-2017

I get Cars' point, actually.

Sometimes I feel bad when people run off after we go back and forth. Being generally rude or a bully isn't cool and that's not how I feel, but I understand that's how it comes across to people if they come here only for entertainment or to bullshit and bond, even in the debate/discussion threads.

Anyway, I don't feel bullied or take offense when people challenge or criticize me and it's natural instinct to challenge what I know to be bullshit positioned as truth, but everyone's different. I'd rather dial it back than have people I like feeling bullied or hurt. I'll dial back the bullshit-busting.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 03-09-2017

Posting facts is not bullying. Ever! There has never been a day in Mock where people haven't been expected to back up their posts when they present something as fact. I'd rather have a dead site than a place where Members are expected to respect the feelings of others. That's not what Mock is all about and never has been.

I'm not holding anyone's hand and I don't want Mock's mods to do so either. In all these years I can count on one hand the number of times I've been angry in here but it would piss me off if I thought anyone was holding back on their opinions because others can't handle it. Female Mockers have never complained about other Members, content or how others engage with them. I don't get PM's from women telling me they need a break.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 03-09-2017

I think it was the "blinders on" and "head up his ass" observations in the course of stating the facts that was considered biotchy bullying in this case. And, the long response to the long original post.

Anyway, I'm not gonna stop posting what's real or start applauding crap in the serious threads, but I know who feels bullied when challenged by now, and it shouldn't be hard to just avoid challenging them directly. So, I'll give a try.

But, I'd never want or like people (here or anywhere else) to stop challenging me however they see fit, so long as they can take it as well as dish it out. That would bore the hell out of me.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Maggot - 03-09-2017

I'm just glad Trump is doing such a good job. Go-Go Trumpsky!

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 03-09-2017

Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman has accepted an appointment as U.S. ambassador to Russia.

This will be Huntsman’s third ambassadorship after serving as the official envoy to Singapore under George H.W. Bush and to China under Barack Obama.

Huntsman initially endorsed Trump during the 2016 election campaign, then became an outspoken critic of the candidate after the release of a 2005 “Access Hollywood” recording of Trump boasting about sexually assaulting women. Huntsman called on Trump to drop out of the race at the time.

-------------------
I liked some of what Huntsman had to say and how he said it when he was running for the presidency back in 2012, and it's good that he has experience as an ambassador. This is always a tough job, but it will be very tough in the current environment. I'm interested to see how Huntsman handles it.

RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 03-09-2017

Having experience means something to me, I find it to be qualifying, I don't view it as some small thing and if you haven't got it you should surround yourself with those who do.
