RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 03-30-2017 Woooo. The WSJ is reporting that General Michael Flynn has offered to testify in regards to Russia in exchange for immunity. Man. This is the same guy who lead the chants of LOCK HER UP at the Republican convention last Summer. Heh. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 03-30-2017 (03-30-2017, 06:40 PM)Duchess Wrote: Woooo. The WSJ is reporting that General Michael Flynn has offered to testify in regards to Russia in exchange for immunity. Hillary Clinton has got to be laughing and shimmying her ass off right about now. Chris Christie was a 'lock her up!' wailer ---------until, he came pretty effin' close to getting locked up himself for Bridgegate. He's lucky he didn't. Flynn looked batshit yelling the 'lock her up!' chant at Trump rallies last year. Now he's out on his ass for truly violating national security protocol, and his lawyer says anyone would be a fool to testify in such investigatory cases without immunity. I don't necessarily disagree with his lawyer. But, I do find it hilarious considering Flynn's self-righteous condemnation of Clinton during his interview with Chuck Todd back in September, when Flynn said this: “The very last thing that John Podesta just said is no individual should be too big to jail. That should include people like Hillary Clinton. I mean, five people around her have been given immunity, to include her former chief of staff. When you are given immunity, that means you have probably committed a crime.” Eat those words, Flynn, and gulp real hard. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 03-30-2017 Rudy was another 'lock her up!' campaigner on the trail. All that spittle-screeching and he still couldn't snag himself a government appointment, even in the Trump administration, not that he didn't try like a motherfucker. On top of that, he's gone stupid. Big-mouth Rudy and the big-mouth female Rudy (aka Judge Jeanine, who used to be good on crime news and is now a batshit political pundit too, in my opinion) handed evidence of unconstitutional intent straight to federal judges who've used it to block Trump's oh-so-urgent travel/immigration ban for months. Then there's Trump's failure to immediately repeal and replace Obamacare, even though, you know, it would be so easy and all. Yep...... RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 03-31-2017 *snicker* I hope she's getting a ton of satisfaction out of this 71 day shitshow. God knows I am! It's the gift that keeps on giving. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 03-31-2017 I just want to go on record as saying I don't want trump going anywhere. I want him to finish his term. The last thing I want is for that creepy, Stepford husband Mike Pence to take over. Nononono. In his own way, he's worse than trump. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 03-31-2017 Clinton and the DNC made a lot of mistakes in campaign strategy and messaging. They all but ignored the struggling white working class in several states and that cost her the electoral college victory and won her the popular vote. I do not deny the legitimacy of President Trump's election victory at this point, personally. If there are Dems who believe that Russia primarily or solely cost Clinton the election, I think they're wrong. But, I'm not hearing people make that argument, I'm only hearing President Trump claim that people are making that argument. The Russia interference issue is about holding people accountable IF they colluded with a foreign government to undermine our democratic processes for financial gain, political gain, or some other benefit. That's serious shit which must be addressed, and we know Russia is employing the same cyber fake news and hacking strategies to sway voters towards nationalist candidates across NATO countries. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 03-31-2017 In any case.......I'm glad the Russian interference is in the public view in a big way now, but hate that they were seemingly so effective at inserting their tactics into American politics. It's weird to me that so many hard-core Trump voters are defending and supporting Putin and Russia on this issue. They don't need to defend and admire Russia's anti-Democratic undermining tactics to support Donald Trump. Some of them are actually tying Trump to Putin themselves in so doing. But, Trump seems to be driving that mentality and it's working against him with all but his devotees, which is a minority of Americans. If he has nothing to hide, it's not good for him. He now has the lowest approval rating of any President at this point in a presidency, he's resorted to appointing his children to key advisory roles, he's struggling to work within the American system of checks and balances and failing to push through key campaign promises... I wish he'd focus on getting up to speed and surrounding himself with the right qualified people instead of blaming Cinton, the press, investigators, Obama, Democratic witch hunts, Republican conservatives... Anyway, if people in the Trump campaign colluded with Russian operatives to gain an advantage by fooling or fueling Americans with fake news and illegal political hacks, I want to see them held accountable. I hope that didn't happen, but the way the White House is handling the situation looks really bad. Deny, deflect, change the story when evidence that contradicts the denials emerges... Stone, Manafort and Flynn are particularly suspect and I'm interested in hearing the evidence and their testimony. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 03-31-2017 There's a rumor floatin' around that the Senate Intelligence Comm. declined Flynn's immunity request. It's also being said that he went to the Justice Depart. and made the same offer. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - HairOfTheDog - 03-31-2017 (03-31-2017, 11:34 AM)Duchess Wrote: There's a rumor floatin' around that the Senate Intelligence Comm. declined Flynn's immunity request. He's a loose cannon and a liability for the Administration -- some of the White House inner circle has gotta be sweating bullets, I imagine (whether they think he did anything wrong or not). Flynn's appointment to National Security Adviser was such a very bad hiring decision by Trump -- it never made any sense to me given his public statements, disposition, and history. Funny to see Trump tweeting his support of Flynn's request for immunity to avoid being hurt by a political "witch hunt", given that Trump claimed anyone asking for immunity during the Clinton email investigation MUST be guilty of a crime. The hypocrisy never ends. I know you're out there...lurking & reading. About that wall that y'all wanted and Mexico was going to pay for, what he actually meant was, we'll cancel healthcare for millions unless YOU pay for the wall. So pay for the wall, trumpsters. I'm not going to and neither is the majority of the country. It's all on you now. If millions lose their coverage because of this wall I'll be back to try and make your life hell in any small way that I can. This is just a friendly heads up because I'm considerate like that. RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 04-25-2017 The White House claims this happened in the first 100 days - RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - BigMark - 04-25-2017 RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - Duchess - 04-25-2017 Why would you want me to go fuck myself? Because I post snark about trump? RE: THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY - BigMark - 04-25-2017 You're just trying to start shit.
