Counting Crows is great. It took a while listening to their stuff to hear the songs and get them, but they are super talented.

The Goo Goo Dolls from around the same time period were also good.
I saw the lead singer, John Rzeznik, perform on Daryl's House not that long ago.
Like Daryl, I think he's gotten even better with age.
