Sorry you lost your QB, 'Niner fans. That's so sucky. I'm a fan of his and I was looking forward to seeing what this season brought him. It was fun watching him succeed last year.

Looks like we are making a play for Le'Veon Bell.

My team is killin' me. I will have aged years by the end of the season.

RE: NFL 2018 - Maggot - 09-30-2018

I'm just happy the Pats have got their stride back, beating the 3-0 Miami team was nice. Edelman will be back next week and the offence will be unstoppable. The Defense hopefully catches up and it was good to see Amendola again even if he was on the opposing team.

I just watched full game highlights of Eagles/Titans.

Wow, Tennessee converted a 4th and 15, 4th and 4, 4th and 2 and the TD pass was 3rd and 13, all on GW TD drive in OT.

Unbelievable.

RE: NFL 2018 - Duchess - 10-01-2018

They're all so disgusted with themselves. Good!

...and they better do something about the goddamn front line. Carson has been floored 9 times in the last 2 games! Do better at protecting him!

RE: NFL 2018 - Midwest Spy - 10-01-2018

I have a feeling it’ll be a cakewalk for the Eagles over my Vikings.

Offensively we’re okay, but the pass defense is atrocious.

Wentz will have a Field Day.

Our defense spent WAY too much time on the field to pull that off. Titans have a ton of blitz packages this year. They were dialing them up at will on us. Keep an eye on them.

Wentz is good in the sack.  Sarcastic

RE: NFL 2018 - Duchess - 10-05-2018

MS, how are you feelin' about Sunday's game?

RE: NFL 2018 - Maggot - 10-05-2018

Yes a prediction would be good.

RE: NFL 2018 - Duchess - 10-05-2018

Nooooooo! Nononono! That's not what I'm asking for! MS! You listen to me.

From a Vikings’ fan standpoint, I’m nervous that we’re going to get spanked again.

No running game whatsoever, and no pass defense.

Cringing.

RE: NFL 2018 - Duchess - 10-05-2018

...and I'm nervous about revenge. I know some players, if not all, are thinking about the last time they met of the field. It could be smash mouth football!

As an aside, I was reading the sports page this past week and I read that a player got an ACL injury trying to avoid hitting the QB. They gotta do something about that new rule.

RE: NFL 2018 - Midwest Spy - 10-05-2018

I think the NFL needs to go back to the old rule as it pertains to hitting the QB.

Make it a judgement call as to whether it’s excessive roughness. If it’s an obvious lift, and pile driving of the QB to the turf, throw the flag.

If not, and the QB gets hit in the midsection and the defender falls on him?

That’s football.

Anyway, I’d love to see my defense get back to the way they were most of last yesr, but they are lacking scheme-wise and lacking in confidence.

RE: NFL 2018 - Midwest Spy - 10-07-2018

Well, my club doesn’t need a moral victory today, they need a win.

I don’t know if defensively, they have it in them.

Our best edge rusher, and Pro Bowler, Everson Griffen, has been out with a mental disorder since Week 1, and I’m beginning to wonder if his absence has really hurt us. I’m thinking Yes.

Anyway, if we can’t pressure Wentz today, we’re in trouble.

I know historically, Cousins has played well against Philly. Need that to continue.

Carson has been sacked a number of times since his return. If they can't protect him we are in deep shit.

RE: NFL 2018 - Carsman - 10-07-2018

I usually don't watch weekly foot ball games, only the Superbowl games.

Well tonight I was in the mood for some football, so I caught the last quarter of the Giants Vs the Panthers game.
The Giants were beaten by a 6 seconds left "63
" yard Panthers field goal ! Real nail biter!

Then I watched most of the Eagles Vs the Vikings game. Late in the 4th quarter the Eagles should have gone for the "58" yard field goal facing them instead of punting, (Even though their field goal punter missed 2 shorter ones) that IMHO likely cost them the game! Shame.

Cars, I realize you aren't a huge football fan, but each team has two kickers. One for field goals and one for punting, so there isn't such a thing as a field goal punter. Our coach lost that game. He wasted 2 time outs early in the 3rd quarter. One because he didn't think we were going to get the play off in time (and we did) and one on a bullshit challenge that he never should have thrown the red flag on. Those two time outs cost us the game. Horrible time management.

Yeah I used the wrong term for the field goal "kicker" as I couldn't remember his name. They still should have tried for it!
