Ok, so even though we speak the same language, how we spell things is quite different. I've actually become used to spelling humour with the 2nd "u" when I never did before. I don't know why that one has stuck itself into my head, but there it is.
One I do not understand is "whine". Why does the UK put a "g" in whine??? It looks likea totally different-sounding word with that "g" and I think it looks stupid. A silent "g"?? Or is the "g" pronounced in some way?
