i can't believe they failed to appear AGAIN! some judge is going to have enough of this crap, hold them in contempt, and throw them in jail so they are sure to make their court dates.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- A judge issued arrest warrants Monday for Randy Quaid and his wife after they failed to show up at a court hearing stemming from their arrests last month on suspicion of illegally squatting at a home, a prosecutor said.

Santa Barbara Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter said the $50,000 warrants were issued after the couple failed to appear for an arraignment Monday on a felony vandalism charge. Carter said the couple may turn themselves in sooner, but their case will be called again on Oct. 26.

Randy and Evi Quaid each face a felony vandalism charge. Deputies arrested the couple last month on suspicion that they were living in the guest house of a Montecito home they previously owned. Authorities said at the time the Quaids were suspected of causing more than $5,000 in damage.

Their attorney on a previous criminal case, Robert Sanger, did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment.

The Quaids frequently missed court appearances in an earlier case involving charges they defrauded an innkeeper. That case was resolved in April with Evi Quaid pleading no contest to a misdemeanor count. The charges against her husband were dropped.

Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- A judge decides Friday if actress Lindsay Lohan will continue her drug rehab or go to jail again for violating her probation with a failed drug test.

RE: Annoying Celebrities - BlueTiki - 10-22-2010

Please God -tell me they were in a Winnebago!

VANCOUVER (Reuters) - Actor Randy Quaid and his wife have been arrested in Vancouver having fled to Canada after missing a court hearing in the United States in a illegal squatting case, local media said on Friday.

Canadian authorities would not confirm the reports, but said in a press release that a man and a woman -- who were not identified -- were detained on Wednesday after it was discovered they were wanted on a U.S. arrest warrant.

CTV also reported the couple was scheduled to appear on Friday at a detention review hearing by Canada's Immigration and Refugee Board in Vancouver. The couple had requested the hearing be held in private.

Board officials said they were legally prohibited from saying if the hearing involved the Quaids, but a government source who asked not to be identified confirmed they were expected to appear.

A California judge issued an arrest warrant for the Quaids this week after they failed to appear at a mandatory court hearing on charges they had been illegally squatting in a home near Santa Barbara that they had owned years ago.

Randy Quaid, who starred in the 2005 film "Brokeback Mountain" and is the brother of actor Dennis Quaid, was arrested in September on suspicion of burglary and entering a building without consent. Evi Quaid was booked on those charges, as well as resisting arrest.

Earlier this year they were arrested on charges of failing to pay their bill at a California hotel. Evi Quaid was forced to pay $10,500 in restitution in that case and she pleaded no contest to defrauding an innkeeper.

The celebs that annoy the shit outta me are the ones who spout off all their political bullshit. If I pay good money for a concert, I don't want to hear any of their political crap, I want to hear music. If all the actors that said they would leave the country if Bush was elected would have left, I'd be a happy camper.

HOLY SHIT, THE QUAIDS ARE COMPLETE FRUITCAKES!!
you have to read this to believe it! Big surprise

VANCOUVER — Actor Randy Quaid told Canada's immigration board Friday that he and his wife are seeking asylum from "the murderers of Hollywood" and will therefore apply for refugee status in Canada, after they were arrested on U.S. warrants related to vandalism charges.

The pair were arrested on Thursday afternoon in a shopping area of an affluent Vancouver neighborhood and were jailed on outstanding U.S. warrants.
The Quaids are wanted in Santa Barbara, where they missed a court hearing Monday on felony vandalism charges.

The Quaids were ordered released from custody Friday, but must each post $9,750 bail and fulfill their promise to appear for their next hearing Thursday.

Santa Barbara County Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter said Friday that Quaid and his wife Evi's bail increased to $500,000 apiece.

Their attorney, Robert Sanger, said he hoped the situation could be resolved but declined comment citing the pending case.

The couple told the immigration adjudicator they are being persecuted in the United States.

Evi Quaid begged a Canadian immigration adjudicator not to force them to return, saying on Friday that friends, such as actors David Carradine and Heath Ledger, have been "murdered" under mysterious circumstances and she worried something would happen to her husband next.

"We feel our lives are in danger," she said. "Randy has known eight close friends murdered in odd, strange manners ... We feel that we're next."

During a break in the proceedings, the Quaids' lawyer, Brian Tsuji approached the media to read a single-sentence statement from the Quaids. "We are requesting asylum from Hollywood star whackers," he read, declining further comment on the mental state of his clients.

Evi Quaid said she's been told by a jail nurse that her blood pressure is dangerously high due to stress and that Randy Quaid's mother has been hospitalized in the U.S. as a result of the stress from their legal troubles.

Friday's hearing was a mandatory detention review.

On Friday, the Quaids promised they would appear for their next hearing. Evi Quaid said she'd be willing to wear an ankle bracelet while staying at a posh Vancouver hotel.

Randy Quaid said the couple came to Canada because he was being given an award by a film critics group. He said they were considering moving to Vancouver where Randy planned to jump-start his career.

He said the pair believed the warrants were issued by mistake and had been withdrawn and the couple didn't travel north in an effort to skip out on them.

"Canada is a beautiful country for what we want to do," Quaid said outside the hearing room, without elaborating on his plans. Quaid was questioned by a reporter if the couple are dealing with a substance abuse problem, which he denied.

Charlie Sheen under psychiatric evaluation and 'headed to rehab' after being found 'drunk and naked' in trashed hotel room

Daily Mail Reporter
26th October 2010

Charlie Sheen is under psychiatric evaluation and is headed to rehab after being found drunk and naked in a trashed hotel room, it is claimed.

The 45-year-old actor is still in the process of deciding which facility he will check into, but is considering returning to Promises in Malibu.

Sheen's decision to undergo treatment follows his recent scandalous behavior in New York in the early hours of Tuesday morning, according to RadarOnline.

'Charlie is going back to rehab,' a source told the website. 'That’s his plan right now. He knows he has to do something.'

The actor allegedly wrecked a hotel suite in a drunken tantrum after an encounter with a prostitute. Oops

Sheen flew into a rage when he thought he had lost his wallet and phone after returning with the woman after a night ‘partying’ in New York, according to reports.

Security guards at the Plaza Hotel on Fifth Avenue discovered him naked and drunk at 2am.

Sheen’s ex-wife, actress Denise Richards, was staying in a separate room with the couple’s two young children Sam, six and Lola, five.

Tables and chairs were said to have been thrown around Sheen’s room and a chandelier damaged.

The star of TV sitcom Two And A Half Men told police that he had snorted a recreational drug, according to sources quoted in the New York Post.

U.S. magazine Life & Style reported that the prostitute was found screaming inside a locked closet.

‘She was fearing for her life and was naked,’ a source told its website. ‘Charlie was incoherent but started screaming slurs at the cops.

‘They recognized him immediately and gave him two options: they could take him to the hospital or take him down to the station. Charlie chose the hospital.

‘His two daughters were sleeping in the next room. Denise had to go with the cops and leave the girls with a nanny. She looked distraught.’

Police said they responded to a call from the Plaza about an ‘emotionally disturbed individual’ who was said to be ‘intoxicated and irrational’.

‘He was taken to the hospital in the company of a female, who was unhurt,’ said a source. Sheen, who is paid £600,000 an episode for his role in Two And A Half Men, was reportedly taken by ambulance to hospital ‘for alcohol abuse and psychological evaluation’.

He went voluntarily and was not formally arrested.

A spokesman for the actor insisted he had done nothing illegal.

‘What we are able to determine is that Charlie had an adverse reaction to some medication and was taken to the hospital. 115 Liar

The couple went through a mud-slinging divorce four years ago and at one point Miss Richards even took out a restraining order against him.

But they appeared to have put their troubles behind them when they took their children to see Mary Poppins on Broadway on Sunday.

Miss Richards, who appeared in the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough, went on Howard Stern’s radio show in the U.S. yesterday and said she had told the children: ‘Daddy had a time-out.’

'It's been an eventful trip,' she added.

Sheen, who appeared in hit films Wall Street and Platoon, has battled drug and alcohol addictions.

Last year, he was arrested after a fight with his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, the mother of his twin toddler sons, who claimed that he had tried to kill her. He pleaded guilty to assault.

I am beginning to think the show 2 and a half men is a documentary about Charlie Sheen's real life. It is no wonder that he plays the part so well; He is not acting, he's just being himself.
If I were to make a guess as to why he was pissed off, I don't think it was about his wallet. If the truth were to be known I bet he couldn't get it up. As Rose said: "When your mind gets crazy, Mr. Pee Pee gets Lazy"
I feel sorry for the fellow. Having been a hard partying whore hound, he is going to have a hard time dealing with impotence.

verdict in anna nicole silicone trial coming up in a few minutes...

Anna Nicole Smith verdict reached
October 28, 2010

A jury has reached a verdict in the drug trial surrounding the death of model and Playboy Playmate Anna Nicole Smith in which two physicians and lawyer were accused of funneling powerful and dangerous medications to her.
The panel deliberated for more than two weeks in the case of Drs. Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich, and Smith's lawyer and boyfriend Howard Stern, who are accused of conspiring to unlawfully provide controlled substances to an addict and of obtaining the medication through fraud. They were not charged with causing Smith's death. She died of an accidental overdose at a Florida hotel in February 2007.

During the two-month trial, prosecutors contended the three defendants used dubious methods to obtain and give powerful opiates and sedatives to Smith in the three years leading up to her death. Motivated by Smith's fame, they gave her the medications she craved without legitimate medical need, the prosecution argued.

Acquitting the doc is absurd! Howard & or Khristine used the doc's scripts to get all those drugs! All those drugs killed Anna, wasn't that kinda excessive?

another sad has-been.

(CNN) -- Former teen idol David Cassidy faces a drunken driving charge after a Florida Highway Patrol officer stopped him on a Fort Pierce, Florida, highway Wednesday night.

Cassidy, 60, failed roadside sobriety tests and registered at .14 on an alcohol breath test, according to the arrest report. A reading of .08 or higher is illegal for drivers in Florida.

The singer-actor "appeared to be somewhat confused" and was "very apologetic for having to be stopped," the arresting officer said.

Police found a half-empty bottle of bourbon under the seat of Cassidy's Mercedes, although he told the officer he had only consumed a glass of wine with lunch several hours earlier, the report said.

He told the officer he took a hydrocodone pill -- a pain medication also known as Vicodin -- about three hours earlier.

The trooper pulled Cassidy over after his car left the roadway and went onto the shoulder rumble strip two times before cutting off another car at an exit ramp, the police report said.

Cassidy posted bail early Thursday and was released from the St. Lucie County Jail, according a jail spokeswoman.

Cassidy's publicist said his lawyer advised her not to comment yet on the incident.

"David would, however, like to assure everyone that he is all right and thank his family, friends and fans for their love and support," publicist Jo-Ann Geffen said.

Cassidy starred on "The Partridge Family" in the 1970s, launching his pop music career. He would fill concert venues with screaming teen-aged girls with such hits as "I Think I Love You."

His most recent acting job was on the ABC Family sitcom "Ruby & the Rockits," in which Cassidy played an aging former teen heartthrob. The show was canceled this year after its first season.

and yet another...

TV Host Gary Collins is accused of plowing into the back of a woman’s vehicle Tuesday before leaving the scene of the accident, according to a report from the Clarion Ledger.

Police tell the Mississippi news site that Collins, a former Miss America pageant and “Hour Magazine” host, is under investigation for an accident that occurred in Jackson, when he struck Cheryl Hales, 40, at a traffic light. According to the Ledger, Hales was waiting at a red light when a Jeep, believed to be driven by Collins, plowed into the back of her sedan, injuring her and her child.

Hales and other witnesses were able to record the license plate number of the vehicle, which was traced back to 71-year-old Collins.

TMZ reports that Collins was driving around 40 MPH when he struck the vehicle. Collins then got out of his car “clearly intoxicated,” threw his hands up in the air and asked “What are we waiting for?” TMZ reports.

This is not Collins’ first brush with driving under the influence. The host has been arrested three times for DUI in the last ten years and was convicted twice, TMZ reports. In 2007, a man died in an incident involving Collins. Although he was determined not to be at fault, he pleaded no contest and served 4 days in jail, TMZ reports.

Collins is married to Mary Ann Mobley, an actress and former Miss America.
