I'm not sure what the temp is outside (I think it was forecast to be in the mid-80's today) but whatever, it feels HOT. I can't wait to turn that beast on later today. Woo-hoo!

You'll likely stand over the vent to let the air blow right on your commandoed self.

To complete the sensation, I recommend a York Peppermint patty.

Although the sensation is great, One really has to be careful with those patty's, they can leave a dubious stain! hah

Heh-heh! My daughter was eating yogurt in the car the other day and my son was bitching and whining about the smell (clearly didn't sit well with him). I offered him a mint...he stuck it in his nose for the rest of the ride.

Classy kid.

ETA: I like the AC but it doesn't come out of the vents like a hurricane as I'd hoped for. The cold air sort of floats out where I was hoping for a wind storm. I have more to learn about the thermostat options though.

Tis raining. [Image: 1hissyfit.gif]

RE: +your daily weather report+ - Carsman - 07-04-2015

Threat of rain here, so far just nasty cloudy!

BBQ or not to BBQ, that's the 64,000 dollar question! hah

Time will tell.

RE: +your daily weather report+ - Midwest Spy - 07-04-2015

86F & sunny.

A perfect day.

Seals & Crofts 'Summer Breeze' up next on MS' tunes.

All is well that ends well, the SUN came out in the afternoon here! Cheers

I have come to the conclususion that I shouldn't force my new AC unit in to making the interior of my house akin to the inside of a refrigerator (which, apparently, was my dream). I'm learning to live with 72 degrees or so which seems about it's maximum capacity without me running up some huge electric bill.

Hrumph.

RE: +your daily weather report+ - sally - 07-05-2015

I'd call them back. A new unit should easily maintain around 70 without working overtime. My old unit cost me a fortune because of that, it couldn't keep up because it was a piece of shit and just kept running.

Done.

I thought my expectations were too high but dammit, this thing is NOT cooling the house as quickly/easily (or to the extent) I expected. I have to run it ALL day to get a reading of 72 degrees. And it's not even terribly hot outside. Not to mention, the thermostat is downstairs so upstairs...it's still more like 78 degrees at least.

RE: +your daily weather report+ - sally - 07-05-2015

I try not to be a big complainer, but some things you can't just look away from. I don't think that's acceptable for a new unit. It's not acceptable here in Florida where it's hotter than the devil's dick much less where you're at. It should be snowing in your house right now.

RE: +your daily weather report+ - Jimbone - 07-06-2015

Like sally said, a new unit should barely be jogging to keep the house at 70 on a reasonably warm day.

You are in California however, so your units may have some restriction on them. But most likely the unit is too small for the area to be cooled.

RE: +your daily weather report+ - Midwest Spy - 07-06-2015

We got a new high efficiency furnace and a/c unit a couple of years back.

They've been great. Very quiet and bills cut nearly in half.

It's 82 degrees with 85% humidity. Does anyone other than Sally have any idea what that feels like? That's not a complaint, I haven't forgotten what last Winter was like. I'm just telling anyone who will listen to me.

Yeah, I've lived in the South.

Yep, that's why we're back at our northern villa till beginning of December.

(Also, November 30th is when the official hurricane season there is over)

We just had a front go through yesterday and our low last night was 51F.

Great sleeping weather but I like heat in July.

Fortunately, back to 90F by Sunday.
