RE: +your daily weather report+ - Clang McFly - 07-07-2015

Fucking raining again. I thought this was America not England.

RE: +your daily weather report+ - Midwest Spy - 07-18-2015

My wife's Weather Alert app went off last night @ 12:03. A tornado warning in effect and moving directly toward us. Estimated arrival in 20-30 mins.

Had to grab the kids and run to the basement. They were pretty scared, and fortunately no tornado hit, just a pretty good t-storm.

RE: +your daily weather report+ - Duchess - 07-18-2015

There's not much that scares me more. I become absolutely frantic.

RE: +your daily weather report+ - Jimbone - 07-18-2015

Don't seek shelter in that rickety garage. You'd be a goner fo' sho'.

RE: +your daily weather report+ - Duchess - 07-18-2015

Contrary to your belief, Mr. Bone, the garage isn't rickety, it's made of brick and is quite sturdy & waterproof. Stop dissin' my garage or I'll be giving you a fuck you look.

Duchess, why are your "fuck you" and "I want to fuck you" looks exactly the same?

You women are so hard to read.

You're mistaken, I usually smile when I convey I want to fuck.

RE: +your daily weather report+ - Jimbone - 07-18-2015

At least it's a look!

RE: +your daily weather report+ - Carsman - 07-18-2015

There's a smile in those eyes, you don't have to look too hard to see it!

It's going to get cooler and cooler (and the bill is getting higher and higher). hah

About 10 years ago we had two solar attic fans installed. A few years ago (3?), I had a handy man come out because they didn't seem to be working (they were almost silent but sometimes you could at least hear a little hum when they were running--and we weren't hearing that anymore). Anyway, Juan (or Manuel) or whoever it was we hired at the time said in fact that they were broken and he needed to get "parts". I sort of forgot all about it and Jose never came back with the parts.

Bottom line, the company that I hired for our A/C is now installing all new solar attic fans because Pedro left us with mostly useless bits and pieces of our OLD fans.

The a/c guy (conveniently) thinks the combination of the working attic fans and the new a/c system will keep our upstairs nice and cool. Smiley_emoticons_smile

It better!! The_Villagers

My brother-in-laws and a couple of their cousins thank you for the employment, user.

They also say 'gracias' for all those "handyman goes to service the hot, bored, horny, suburban housewife" porno fantasies that you converted into reality for them. Just wait til Jesús shows up to clean your vents... Smiley_emoticons_smile

I'm roasting here, which only happens a handful of days a year. It's cool as a cucumber downstairs, but the office is upstairs where it's about 35 degrees hotter (no air-conditioning, just an old oscillating fan that's as noisy as an airplane).

RE: +your daily weather report+ - Duchess - 07-28-2015

It's hot as fuck, that's what it is. Holy fucking hot.

I'm still not complaining. No siree bob.

RE: +your daily weather report+ - Maggot - 07-28-2015

Take thy clothing away.

RE: +your daily weather report+ - Duchess - 07-28-2015

I intend to very soon. I have a couple more things to do outside and then I will.

hah

Yeah, it's supposed to be hot as hell the next couple of days. Typically I couldn't stand being upstairs by mid-afternoon on a day like today. It's not going to be a problem now!!! Smiley_emoticons_hurra3

When my husband is getting ready for bed tonight, in our nice, cool room, I plan on pointing out to him that he's one lucky sonofabitch that his wife bought him such a nice Father's Day gift. Smiley_emoticons_smile

Look at the peasants excited about a cool breeze. I set my AC to 65 at night and cover up in my goose down comforter, just another night in paradise.

I seriously love that. I keep my bedroom like a meat locker too and when I go to bed I burrow under my comforter and it's excellent.

Me too. Plus I can wear my bra and panties without sweating my tits off.

Damn!! I could do that now!! I've been pretty conservative (i.e, cheap) about using it but when I get home this afternoon, I'm going to put that thing to work. I haven't set it below 70 but I'm going to see what 65-68 feels like.

Usually around here though the night temps tend to drop enough to be fairly comfortable so on a cooler day, before I go to bed I throw open the windows and enjoy the fresh air but I doubt it will get comfortably cool at all tonight. Besides, if I set it at 67 (for example) and the house cools to 67, the stupid thing will shut itself off anyway.

I have a lot to learn about having a/c and making the most of it. I'm a little curious what it's going to do to our energy bill though. Running the heater in the winter...our bills average $350-400/mo. In the summer (pre a/c, around $170). I'm just hoping they don't go way higher than winter.

RE: +your daily weather report+ - sally - 07-28-2015

It shouldn't go above your winter heating bill. Especially where you live where I don't think there is much humidity.

Our house had an ac unit when I was growing up, but my parents would never put it on. Then they would be cooking a Sunday pot roast in the middle of August and wonder why I don't want to eat. Um, do you realize it's 200 fucking degrees in here.

I vowed to myself that I will never ever live like those cheap assholes even if I have to spend my grocery money on the electric bill. The first time I spent the night at a friend's house who had AC I thought I died and went to heaven.
