Damn. That sucks. I guess she died. It's impossible for a person to fall over a 5' railing unless they are 8' tall. She was probably sitting on the railing.

It's always biker night at Newbys.

Yeah she died and kids out on the strip saw her hit. Her 17 year old son was there. sad

Newby's on Thomas is the biker one. Newby's 2 is down at the curve by the Treasure Ship and isn't really the biker hang out. Mostly locals that like to get their drink on and tell wild stories.

Have you seen Winter's Bone? I thought that was good. Couple of people on this forum could have starring roles.

Bad. very bad.

(CNN) -- Powerful storms that have ripped across the Southeast killed as many as 44 people over the past three days, according to National Weather Service and reports from several states.

There were 14 deaths in Bertie County, North Carolina, a rural area in the northeast part of the state, the weather service said Sunday. Although the weather service reported that number, local authorities said they were still working to determine the exact number of deaths.

"Reports are still incoming," Mike Sprayberry, deputy director of the North Carolina Division of Emergency Management, told CNN.

The death toll across seven states includes 23 total in North Carolina; four in Virginia; seven in Alabama, two in Olkahoma, seven in Arkansas and one in Mississippi.

The deaths in North Carolina included three people in Raleigh who were killed in mobile homes, the weather service said. In eastern North Carolina, two people died near Ammon, one was killed in the Bladenboro area and another died in the Benson and Black Creek area, the weather service said.

North Carolina state Rep. Mike Stone reported two additional deaths in Lee County.

At Camp Lejeune, according to a news release, an unknown number of base residents suffered injuries and nearly 30 homes were damaged following a series of tornadoes that touched down near a housing area Saturday evening.

Tornadoes are the scariest shit ever. There's not much I fear more. Our weather is "transitioning" now & every friggin' spring storm will carry watches/warnings.

Whole communities are under water and bodies are being plucked from floating cars and homes after horrific flood waters and tornadoes ripped through Arkansas with the death toll already at nine and scores more feared dead.

http://www.cnn.com/2011/US/04/27/severe.weather/index.html?hpt=T1

(CNN) -- Severe storms ripped through parts of the South on Wednesday, cutting a path of destruction from Texas to Tennessee that left at least 12 people dead and hundreds of thousands without power, authorities said.

Even as officials were assessing damage across the region, forecasters said another powerful storm packing high winds and the possibility of tornadoes was bearing down on portions of Mississippi, Alabama, north Georgia and eastern Tennessee.

"The storms are just amazingly explosive and they're covering a very large area," said Greg Carbin with the Weather Service Storm Center in Norman, Oklahoma.

I hate spring storms, what those poor people have gone through is one of my worst nightmares. My heart begins to race just thinking about tornadoes.

RE: +your daily weather report+ - Lady Cop - 04-27-2011

[Updated at 4:22 p.m.] Emergency management officials believe that a tornado has struck Cullman Regional Medical Center in northern Alabama. A switchboard operator at the hospital told CNN that officials declared a disaster at the facility.

Tornadoes in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. Birmingham was hit about an hour ago, Tuscaloosa before that, and Huntsville. The ugliness just arrived over this this. I probably won't sleep much this evening.
