We had the most amazing sunset this morning, it started out dark blood red and progressed to a brilliant pinkish orange. The camera on my phone sucks.

Well, Real Winter is making an appearance this weekend.
First, 6-10" of fresh powder today and tonight, followed by mind-numbing cold from the Yukon.
-24F predicted for Saturday night (actual air temp), and a HIGH on Sunday of -6F.
Don't worry though. Temps rebound into the 20's by Monday.
A very short-lived Arctic outbreak.

A touch less snow and a tad warmer temps forecasted down here. but pretty close to the same story for the next 3 days.

Whatta difference a day makes. It's in the 60's already this morning. Yesterday I woke up to freezing rain, it looked gorgeous but I know how dangerous that is. There was a terrible accident outside of Baltimore, a 55 car pileup, a tanker plunged off a bridge and exploded, it was just awful.

I've decided I really like winter.
It's a state of mind for most. In the past I just wanted it to be over. Now, seeing how much my kids love the snow and how great everything looks draped in snow (pine trees), I've come to enjoy it.
Now, I don't want it to extend into March, so let's have winter end on Feb 28th and let spring begin.
