I love it. The whether is getting cooler, the good holidays are coming up (not stinking Easter and Halloween) and I get to sleep an extra hour.

Damn it!

RE: ~TIME~clocks ahead/back Sunday - username - 11-02-2013

My son had the day off school yesterday so it felt like Saturday. I woke up thinking I'd gotten an extra hours sleep until I noticed that all the clocks in the house were still set to the same time (the one on my side of the bed automatically resets). Oh well. I wanted to get to the gym a little earlier than I normally do on a lazy Saturday and I guess I will even without the extra hour.

Can I just say melatonin kicks my ass? You'd think with all the other non OTC crap I've put in my body over the years, it wouldn't do a thing but that shit knocks me the hell out and keeps me down for a solid 8 hours. 32

The only reason for Helloween is to end it to start the good stuff! I'm all about cold weather, we had muggy 60 yesterday and I was sure I was going to melt like the wicked witch of the west in water... Bring on the snow!

I'd also prefer to wake to a bit of sunlight than go to bed earlier because it is dark earlier. Seems to me the sooner it is dark the sooner you can pour that first glass of wine!

Username, maybe you should cut it in half???? Melatonin doesn't work for me anymore. Sleep for an hour and then wide awake!

I used to lust for snow down here & then we got hammered one Winter and it broke me of THAT desire.

RE: ~TIME~clocks ahead/back Sunday - ramseycat - 11-02-2013

I love falling back only for the extra hour on Sunday. I do not like it getting dark at 4:30. It might be lighter later down here though. I will like it being lighter earlier too. The sun doesn't come up until about 7:15 here and that is late to me.

RE: ~TIME~clocks ahead/back Sunday - Spomd - 11-02-2013

We'll be getting a bit of snow tomorrow... late here! I'm all about cold weather, though. I do need to get rid of this surgical boot before we really get hammered though, another week to go!

Falling back: 1 glorious extra hour of sleep per year. How can you hate that? Hoping the animals cooperate (and yes, that includes the kids)!

RE: ~TIME~clocks ahead/back Sunday - ramseycat - 11-02-2013

I too love that extra hour of sleep. My kids are old enough now that they sleep late and don't bother me too much.

RE: ~TIME~clocks ahead/back Sunday - Duchess - 11-02-2013

The feeling of an "extra" hour only last a day, maybe two. There was a sleep specialist on the morning news a couple days ago when they were reminding people to set their clocks back.

I'm already dreading the godawful cabin fever that's sure to come. I really do hate being stuck inside when the weather isn't conducive to a good time outside.

RE: ~TIME~clocks ahead/back Sunday - Spomd - 11-02-2013

Animals cause more issues than kids at this point. Kids will sleep forever, if animals allow it.

I don't care what the experts say, I still want my hour!!!!! I know the week after feels exhausting, more so than after springing forward, still say it is worth the joy of the hour though.

I'm glad I live in a state that never falls back or springs forward.

We used to have that in my part of Indiana, then we switched about 7 years ago...we all hate it!

Yeah, I'm good with never touching my clock.

It's that time of year again, Mockers. Hallelujah, Summer is coming.

RE: ~TIME~clocks ahead/back Sunday - Maggot - 03-07-2014

3 weeks early this year.

RE: ~TIME~clocks ahead/back Sunday - Duchess - 03-07-2014

I have the expectation that my weather will turn to perfection instantaneously.

RE: ~TIME~clocks ahead/back Sunday - ramseycat - 03-07-2014

It's going to be in the high 60's and sunny here this weekend.
