anyone else happy the holidays are over? - Lady Cop - 01-03-2011

i am. my usual Scrooge-like attitude has been exacerbated the last 2 weeks by some of the most miserable, stupid, inaccurate, careless and lousy news media "reporting" i have ever seen. it's been torture to follow any cases. the absolute worst i ever saw was the reporting out of Houston on the Jonathan Foster murder on Christmas Eve. it was pathetic, incorrect most of the time, riddled with errors and contradictions, simply piss-poor. it was infuriating. i hope none of them are holding their collective breath waiting for Pulitzers! i would have expected better reporting from second-graders. fucking shameful from so-called journalists. no effort to check facts or names or anything! almost as bad as all the incorrect lame reporting from HLN and nancy grace program. don't confuse those people with facts! shame on them! Furious
the courts and other agencies just go into some sort of hibernating stupor.
i am so glad things may get back to normal now!

rant over.

Yes. The holidays are exhausting. Unfortunately, my kids and husband were all born in early February so typically I move right from the holidays in to birthday party planning etc. I don't feel like I'm done until all of that is behind me. Whine, moan, whine....

Life must suck for you.

Stupidest question ever, asked about a hundred times today: "Did you enjoy your time off?" No fucking shit. Don't make up shit to talk to me about. Just nod and move on, totally doesn't offend me.

I like the holidays, I have less work and can stay home longer and goof off, take it easy and watch the world go by. Smiley_emoticons_smile people go 100mph and are all bitchy. I get a kick out of it.

To be honest, I like the nice grouping of days off I get, and I will have another day off in a couple weeks for MLK day. Other than that, I am glad they are over.

Is that the one where they sell the televisions at discount or the one that cars are on sale? I get all fucked up on that but would like a new plasma as they are 3-d compatable.

Yeah, I'm glad the holidays are over. I'd been busy since August preparing for them. In March I'll starting preparing for 'Save The Ta Ta's".
