This is the State trial date to continue response in full. Of over 100 items taken from the crime scene, over 25 were suitable for DNA testing. The DNA testing involved a comparison of the samples from 25 items of evidence against over 60 DNA profiles from known individuals' buccal swabs.

he is Travis Erice Jones and more than one mugshot, he was wrongfully arrested for murder at one time. TJ then is arrested for aggravated robbery of a BP gasoline station, he is in jail shortly before Cameo Pettaway's arrival. I believe he is doing a "plea bargain" IMO.

Thanks for the correction Night Owl. I appreciate you clearing that up.

As for this "plea agreement" (as stated in the Docket under Discover Items) I'm assuming this could only mean a plea agreement on information regarding what happened as its "Discovery Items" from the Prosecution and not the State (unless, again, I'm mistaken and it was the Defense that mentioned the plea agreement).

In reply to the question about if the trials will be broadcasted: I don't think they will be in my opinion. I can't remember the last time a trial was. Then again, we haven't had any trials this big that I can remember.

It won't be on "regular" channels. Can't miss the soap operas. The Fr. Robinson was broadcast (live) camera left running, no commentary. Can't remember what channel, but it wasn't anything I had ever watched before.

the only venue that MIGHT broadcast is TRU-TV (formerly Court TV). they suck ass, but you can google them and ask them to do it. i also know that a network has been following. so some year you could see on Dateline or 48 Hours.

5/11/2012 1 Title : ORD:ORDER
Pursuant to R. 12 of the Rules of Superintendence for the
Courts of Ohio and Local Rule 9.01, the following are the
conditions for broadcasting and photographing court
proceedings in this matter:

1.One portable television camera with one operator,
appropriately dressed, shall be
permitted in the courtroom. Fox Toledo News will be the
media representative authorized to cover the proceedings
and shall be responsible for the pooling of equipment to
meet the broadcast needs of all other television stations.
Fox Toledo News shall provide the plugs and sound mixer,
with all other stations providing their own deck. Each
station participating in the pooling shall have
at least one employee in the courtroom. If Fox Toledo
News removes the camera
from the courtroom at any time during the trial, the court
reserves the right
to replace or remove cameras from the proceeding. If
disputes arise over
arrangements between and among media representatives, the
Court
reserves the right to replace or exclude all media
representatives from the proceedings.

2.One still photographer, appropriately dressed, shall be
permitted to
photograph court proceedings. The Toledo Blade will be
the media representative authorized to take still
photographs in the courtroom
and shall be responsible for the pooling of equipment to
meet the needs of
other print media.

3.The positioning of all broadcast and photography
representatives in the
courtroom shall be determined by the Judge and in the
hallways by the
Court Deputies Department.

4.At no time will filming, videotaping, recording or
taking photographs of jurors
be permitted. Further at no time will victims and/or
witnesses be filmed,
videotaped, recorded or photographed without the express
consent of the victim
and/or witness.

5.At no time shall there be an audio pickup or broadcast
of conferences
conducted in court between the court and counsel or
between the client and
counsel.

6.Media representatives shall not be permitted to transmit
or record anything
other than the court proceedings from the courtroom while
the court is in session.

7.Because jurors may not be filmed nor their responses
audio recorded, the jury
voir dire shall not be filmed or recorded in any way.

This order shall be subject to future revision and may be
rescinded if there is a determination that the broadcast
and/or photographing of the proceedings distract the
participants, impair the dignity of the proceedings or
otherwise materially interfere with the achievement of a
fair trial.

I believe it was CNN that broadcast the James Arthur Ray "sweat lodge" trial - but only online.

In the Casey Anthony trial, there were a couple of sites where the trial was broadcast online - I watched from a local TV station's site - I don't remember what the others were.

The Father Robinson case( still being appealed over & over) was IMO the biggest case ever here in Toledo. For those who don't know about it, it was a very old cold case from 1980's, catholic nun murdered in the chapel of Mercy Hospital.It had most interest here than ever before or since!!!!!! That trial whch was quite lenghty was broadcast (I think you would call it closed circuit) all day every day. When they had a break the camera would still be on a empty court room. I kind of hope that won't be the case with these trials. Many people that didn't work, (like me) didn't get anything done during that time. It's spring and I have things to do!

I don't have any time for this Priest The nun was brutally murdered & he thought he got away with it!

According to Motion to suppress search of defendant, it states, "a cigarette butt found in the home where the bodies of the two individuals were found."

It doesn't state next to the bodies nor does it state "in the room where the bodies were found."

I don't see how either one of these two accused had time to smoke! I pray it was not used to torture them. If others are involved one of the 2 accused was a possible look out, near front door or window or garage even, whatever faces the street, they were so nervous! The next thing is how did they dispose of said stub? this is where they possibly slipped up! they smashed it with their foot and were so nervous and left it lay, or they could have put it in an empty beer bottle just not thinking. Most important is it was left behind in the home. The LE probably have the exact brand name that was smoked. IMO

shitstorm, did you read Taylor Dungjen article 1/31/12 one year after the murders? she is Toledo Blade crime reporter it's on Mock's case links & facts only Page 6 and then scroll down and you'll find it. Kenyetta Baker, Cameo Pettaway's mother said he was a nail biter!! Upon re-reading this the two accused drifted apart somewhere, just like Johnny and his friend VD!

This taken from the article: Thomas Scott, of Toledo, Mr. Pettaway's cousin, said the man he knows is a "very good father" and that he feels "sick to my stomach" about the arrest.

He said after Mr. Williams arrest, Mr. Pettaway didn't want to talk about it and only said he "didn't believe it."

His cousin's worst attribute is "the people he hangs around with," Mr. Scott said.

"The people he hangs out with are unbelievable," he said. "Everybody in this family is standing behind him. Everybody believes him and everybody cares about him."

Taylor Dungjen's "Ride Along -- A Crime Blog" was named best newspaper blog. Taylor just won 1st place Ohio Newspaper Award for 2011.
