she claims that she didn't have a car. she told the sheriff that she had to wait for her friends mom to get home so she could go check on JC and Lisa. she used her friend's mom's car.

Yes, she did. Then, on this forum she said she woke her friend's mother up to use the car.

On the 911 call, Maytee said that Tiffany's car was in the driveway and that Maytee was blocking her in.

Tiffany didn't answer a few questions. It's possible she didn't see all of the posts. Dunno. I'm really curious about whoever Johnny may have ratted out.

If Maytee just met Tiffany for the first time (as TW stated they met that night) then it would be logical to infer that it was her car. She doesn't know that she borrowed it.

ROBLE RUTROW

RE: Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - netsleuth - 02-17-2011

In a nutshell, I'm still of the robbery gone wrong mindset. I hope remorse is setting in for those who brutally took two lives for $83 and perhaps a few pills. What does $80 buy these days? About two cartons of cigarettes? Two tanks of gas? Such a waste.

A bit of an aside. I'm a former banker. I worked as a bank teller in my college years. Unfortunately, I happen to have been on the other end of a few armed robberies. I've never understood why someone would risk several years in prison in order to score a few grand. Heck, in a low paying job, you'd earn more in a few months, than robbing an occasional bank - (unless you empty the safe, and that's very unlikely.) So, even from a purely fiscal standpoint, it makes no sense.

Sorry to stray. I simply have trouble with the mindset. Even if I were cold and callous enough to victimize others for what seems like easy money - for purely selfish reasons I wouldn't care to spend my life looking over my shoulder.

I can't even begin to imagine how it would feel to have taken a life.

Maybe friend's mom came home and went to sleep immediately and she woke her up to take the car? It was late after all.....

Again, semantics.

She used the friend's mom's car. The story isn't different.

I agree and I think it's an unimportant detail.

Agree. I think there's some confusion about whether Lisa's car was in the driveway. It may have been parked outside of the garage, as well.

I think it is important!!! She waited for her friend's mom to come home versus that she woke the mother up.(to use the car).that is why some of her comments dont jive. but of course i could be wrong as everyone is now believing in TW..I just trying to understand to believe because something in my guy tell me not to

RE: Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - eye.of.my - 02-17-2011

Right which brings me to if Tiffany never met Maytee why would this mother blame her off the rip for what has happened? Most people wouldnt meet someone and automaticly pin a murder on them. Was there something the mother knew about her?

I think it was premeditated murder and that robbery was secondary. I just don't think a spur of the moment homicide happens with plastic bags and duct tape.

Logic: That's what separates you from them.

Not being a psychopath is what separates them.

Could they not both be true? As I said in the earlier post, perhaps the mom came home, went to bed immediately, (reasonable, considering the time), and was then woken up to take the car.

I think we're too caught up these trivial details. This case won't get solved based on if she: a) woke the mom up; b) waited on her; c) both.

If something drastically different happened (i.e. another friend picked her up, she stole a car, etc) then I would understand.

Otherwise, I think it's moot.

This is a very interesting point.

Either: a) mother knew her and her past; b) mother has some involvement and is deflecting; c) mother is off her rocker; d) ALL OF THE ABOVE.

I'm leaning toward D.

Her knowledge of the address, key location, and just her general demeanor are suspicious.

Personally, while I've speculated all over the place, I'm very much about innocent until proven guilty. We don't have the benefit of knowing what the evidence is and we are not privy to details that LE knows. I have no idea what to believe. That's what trials are for (and juries are often wrong).

on the 911 she says I have a FEELING you set up my son but TW claimed to never met her. ALSO...it was posted early on that TW is a herion dealer (could be hearsay)...also the girl that called the mother Sherita or something. I like for her to get on here and tell me what TW's story was then. Also I would like to hear the father weigh in as TW picked him up. Obviously Im not the only one that doesnt believe her. I have posted early on in the forum that I thought Maytee may have supplied Johnny with her prescription pills in a way to make some money and that is how she got the feeling that something went down. I could be off base here but I truly believe that drugs were involved. IMO of course.

We debated that early in this thread. Even wondered if Maytee had anything to do with this. Nothing has been ruled out as far I'm concerned. We know this much: Maytee claims she was upset with Tiffany because didn't call the cops from the get go. That may be true or not.

Sherita (sp?) and JC's father's input would be great in filling in the gaps and establishing some context to what was said -- or not said.

I would not be surprised in the least bit if Maytee had filled the prescription with intent for him to sell it and those buyers killed them. It would explain the "over-concern" she had and possibly her accusation of Tiffany.

Moreover, I sense a bit of guilt in her recent ramblings. While that could be for anything, it could be related.

I'm just sayin'.

Was there ever a "Grieving Friend" that posted here?

RE: Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - eye.of.my - 02-17-2011

Yes it is a very interesting and disturbing case. I live in Toledo and are very close to some of the people who did know these two, tho I have never personally met them. What I have HEARD throughout the city was that AP Tiffanys boyfriend has been suspect of a few carryout robberies, suspected of a few street robberies, ect. This was all heard before this incident. I have read posts on facebook pages where Maytee has said she knew it was Tiffany, which is where I got the pinning a murder on someone. But this could have been a random thought from a distraught mother looking for answers as well. I do not know anyone involved in the case personally other than through others and am truely undecided on who to believe but it is a very disturbing feeling knowing there are people on the same streets my kids play on getting away with murder regardless of if it was Tiffany or another.
