i always from the get-go thought mom was weird. but i feel very sorry for her and am not ready to throw her under the bus. if she has a record, i want to see it. i also believe she is in hell for losing her child. i believe that entirely. my son was in a bad horrible life-threatening auto accident a couple years ago, and i thought i'd lose my mind from fear and terror. he was in Fla. and i was in Mass. i felt helpless.
mom here knew her son had questionable associates. she was scared. my heart goes out to her. but i also think she's nutjob.

I just listened, again. That group of calls is missing the one where Johnny's mother tells 911 they've seen the bodies tied up in the house.

Tiffany (as mentioned before, by Pink) sounds fairly clueless. However, as LC has pointed out, lots of people are convincing liars. Breaking this down, it's Johnny's mother who sounds the weirdest. It is she who says that says Tiffany went by the house, earlier, and said the house was ransacked. We don't know if Tiffany actually said that. Tiffany sounds concerned about her friends. Johnny's mother sounds absolutely freaked. Something really strange going on there.

Got to agree with you on this. I feel sorry for her. She knew her son, better than anyone, & she was scared for him.

It really helps looking at stuff more than once. Yes, there are NO TEARS. I believe those are called alligator tears.

See, this is why I could I never be a detective. I have kneejerk reactions and then I change my mind. A second review of the tapes and the video makes Tiffany appear far less suspect and Johnny's mother look like she knew something.

I'm also convinced that Johnny did not live at the Straubs'. Twice, in the 911 call, Johnny's mother says he's house sitting and once she says that is where Lisa lives.

BTW, did you catch how well the mother knew the Straubs' address? I find that odd because I'm sure he didn't live there. I don't think my parents ever knew the house numbers of any of my boyfriend's parents when I was that age. Maybe she knew that address so well because she's the one who told someone else about an upscale home where owners were away in Puerto Rico.

i have some news from one of Lisa and Johnnys close friends. then again THIS IS ALL WORD OF MOUTH.

"i have a very close friend who go into some shit in high school for pushing drugs. I mean im talking lots of coke and heroin blah blah blah. well he did some time and so did one of his boys for robbery. I guess the kid who robbed people was the guy that killed johnny, thats what they are saying. Because he used to rob safes and Lisas dad has a big safe. I guess they told him that during a party. He came bak and knocked Lisa out, beat Johnny up and when they woke up they beat Lisa up in front of Johnny to torture him then beat him up. I guess the detectives have already questioned the kid so idk thats all i'm hearing so far"

hmmm, I understand this is rumor, but it might explain the key, found under Lisa's body ?
LE is stating the only, shit, I can't think of the word. The only signs of bodily injuries, were their necks, course it IS possible, LE isn't releasing everything, in case someone starts talking about things that only the killer/killers would know ?

A little tidbit about Johnny's mom, FWIW: On the Facebook page dedicated to Lisa & Johnny - http://www.facebook.com/justice.for.johnny.and.lisa - top post says:

Justice for Johnny Clarke and Lisa Straub Johnny's mother just wrote on the wall of our page: "My family is totally lost without johnny my cousin my husband and i just got out of hospital for severe dehydration we cant sleep eat or function."

And there is the sort of blurry picture of Johnny and his mom. Next to that is her (maiden?) name, Maytee La Cubana Vazquez. The name is clickable and it goes to her FB which has nothing but the same photo. So, I put Maytee La Cubana Vazquez into Google. I get a hit, second one down:

Look at the info page and the photo page. This is a FB about some witch with an address in Toledo. Maytee La Cubana Vazquez is one of the people who "likes" that page. The info page links to this:

Witches, covens and pagans aside, something that stands out is the message from her on Lisa's & Johhny's memorial page: She talks about herself, her husband and her cousin just getting out of the hospital and being dehydrated. I notice details like this. The take away for me is she's talking about how they are suffering. It's certainly to be expected but I know a woman whose only child, a 27 year old daughter was brutally murdered. I was with her in the days following. One thing she NEVER did was talk about her own suffering (and she was suffering, horribly). She only talked about her daughter - whose name was Lisa, coincidentally.

It's interesting that she was immediately trying to finger Tiffany as setting the kids up.

She's the one who claims that Tiffany said the house was ransacked. We didn't hear that from Tiffany.

If you listen to those 911 tapes, JC's mother knows Lisa'a address like it's her own and, again, I'm convinced that Johhny did NOT live there.

If I were a detective, one of the things I might ask myself is if JC's mother may have tipped off some friends about this address. Maybe Johnny mentioned things like a safe. Maybe she perceived the Straubs as rich. Maybe she just has a big mouth and told some dirtbags about her son's "rich" GF. It's certainly an avenue of investigation that I would pursue. If she was involved in anything like this it would explain her panic attack about the phone call from the friend. It may have been an, "OMG, Johnny was THERE" kind of thing, as in he wasn't supposed to be.
