Some cops are good and nice people. Some are criminals protected by the wall of silence and the establishment. I think I brought this up about 690 pages ago, saying it needs it's own thread. Duchess suggested I start one. I was too lazy. Maybe someone else can. I'm willing to bet that LC is very objective about this matter and has seen the best and the worst.

I feel that the police are the "Thin Blue Line" standing between "us" and Anarchy. The more we constrict their ability to act in our best interests the closer we get to Anarchy.

After seeing how our times are "history repeating itself" I am inclined to legalize all drugs so they can be regulated like alcohol and gambling.

Pigs is a very derogatory word that I would never use. Feeding at the public trough is used to identify individuals in the public pocket--including me. The public expects everyone feeding at the public trough to go above and beyond their duty to provide them services they pay for and are entitled to. In my humble opinion, having worked with LE, I have not been impressed with their ilk as a whole.

I found the sheriff spokes person's statements to the Springfield board (or who ever he said it to) to be something similar to what Officer Bar-Bradey from Southpark would say. No clue what the fuck is really going on, told to just go to the board meeting and chill them out. "nothing to see here, move along." A turd trying to use the jedi mind trick.

you wanted concrete information, then this is it, stop speculating what he meant, he said what he meant.

How he knows? what he knows that lets him know why they were killed is still a place where speculation is the only information.

Very well put. His words belie the sentiment of the department and unfortunately, the press tends to give LE a wide berth.
