RE: Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - MichelleMarie - 02-05-2011 I'm Lisa's cousin and I would like to know where you people are getting all this info? I'm her damn family and I haven't heard any of what I'm reading here. RE: Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - pinkyfloyd - 02-05-2011 (02-05-2011, 01:52 AM)MichelleMarie Wrote: I'm Lisa's cousin and I would like to know where you people are getting all this info? I'm her damn family and I haven't heard any of what I'm reading here. all what info? it's all conjecture. in fact, if you'd read closer, you'd note that on several occasions the observation has been made that if anything there seems to be a sincere lack of official information that has been released. i feel bad for your loss but you can't expect to read a forum like this and find pity for john and lisa. -pink RE: Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - Lady Cop - 02-05-2011 welcome Jcat. and my sincere condolences MichelleMarie. everyone here has posted their opinions. nothing is stated as fact except what appears in news outlets. i am very sorry for your family's loss. i have read all over the internet on this case, and you could drive yourself crazy reading really vile gossip presented as truth. you may want to avoid reading most of it. RE: Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - MzFruit - 02-05-2011 How long does it take for the DNA forensics to return results typically? RE: Johnny S. RE: Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - MzFruit - 02-05-2011 Thanks for the welcome. Ive followed closely and know that one of the persons who were questioned had other warrants in Wood County, so that court hearing could be for something completely different from this case. If he has a polygraph however; thats great. Im pretty sure I know who MsT is, I wont disclose the info of WHY i think she is involved, but just as a general spectator her story isnt adding up. And its very unfortunate that such young individuals, drug involvement or not had to be victim of such a vicious crime, many of us in life have been through some shit but MOST of us have had the opportunity to make it right, these kids will not able to however. My prayers are with these families and with the authorities to put the case together to find out the hows, whys and whos of this crime! RE: Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - shitstorm - 02-05-2011 I just stumbled onto an article about this couple and found this site. I must say, this has got to be one of the creepiest threads I have ever read - and I've read some creepy stuff over the years. I was particularly taken aback by Unknown's AV and kind of surprised there wasn't at least one "WTF?" Unknown, what's up with that gruesome picture? Regarding the post from the person who claims to be the cousin of one of the victims: The information from Unknown is most certainly very "insider" and it could be that that is what she is referring to. I have no opinion about the who, what, or why of this horrible crime. I don't have a nose for this kind of stuff and true crime isn't something I get into much. One thing that kind of caught my attention was the mention of Iraqi Dinars (currency). Does anyone know, was this young woman's father, or another family member, in Iraq? Is someone in the family military, former military, Blackwater/Xe, military-industrial complex contractor, etc? RE: Johnny S. We don't question anyone's choice of avatars here. This isn't exactly a hearts & flowers forum where respect for others & their tender sensibilities is given. Welcome to Mock. You may want to consider starting a thread in the newbie forum & fill it with anything your heart desires. We are very liberal here & censorship is nil. RE: Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - shitstorm - 02-05-2011 Thanks, Dutchess. Yes, I see that tender sensibilities will not find a home here, lol. I also gathered (and read) that this forum is not about censorship. For that very reason I felt free to ask about the AV. Naturally, Unknown is free to ignore me, give me the scoop, or tell me to fuck off. I'm only curious (and don't usually hold back). No harm meant. So, do you know anything about the family of the girl? On the face of it it seems to point toward contacts of the boyfriend but maybe that's too obvious. Then again, I could be full of shit. Wouldn't be the first time. RE: Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - shitstorm - 02-05-2011 Lisa's father's name is Jeff. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - curious - 02-05-2011 Hello, new to forum and have a couple questions... 1- how can the police claim no forced entry when the dad kicked in front door 2- was the father only one who enetered the house and has the crime scene been compromised because of that 3- if Tiff picked up dad, where was she when all this went down and how did the cousin arrive at the scene RE: Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - Lady Cop - 02-05-2011 hello and welcome to Mock Shitstorm and Curious. iraqi dinars could be property of a collector, i understand other currencies were there as well. perhaps a family member was in military as you surmised, i don't know at this time. i have some dinars that a Marine nephew who was over there sent me for curiosity sake. i don't know if Jeff Straub in your link is any relation. Unknown will speak to question(s) if he wishes, he gave his hypothesis, and did not use names to accuse anyone. unlike at some other sites where people are being openly accused and named. (when LE names someone, that's fair game.) as far as forced entry, i believe the police thinking is that the killer(s) entered through an open garage as opposed to breaking in, which would explain no footprints in snow around house (according to some reports). the other details i cannot answer since there have been no official answers forthcoming. this does not say whether the mom or cousin went in house. ABC13: Johnny's parents went to the home. "There's a back window but the blinds are closed but they're just cracked enough where you can look down in them.My husband looks in. He says he sees Johnny's cell phone like in one corner in the room and then my little cousin is looking in and she says she sees my son there tied up." thanks for joining Mock~~ RE: Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - Lady Cop - 02-05-2011 Toledo Blade this morning, Saturday: Investigators said Friday they believe the slaying of a young couple inside a Springfield Township home this week was "a robbery gone bad." Cathy Stooksbury, a detective with the Lucas County Sheriff's Office, would not comment on what, if anything, was stolen from the home but said it appeared someone had gone through things in the house, searching for something. Killed were Lisa Straub, 20, whose parents — Jeff and Mary Beth Straub — own the Longacre Lane home, and Miss Straub's boyfriend, Johnny S. Clarke, 21, who had been living with the Straubs. Both were asphyxiated with plastic bags tied around their necks. According to a search warrant filed by detectives in Lucas County Common Pleas Court, Clarke's wrists and ankles were bound with duct tape, while Ms. Straub's wrists were bound with duct tape. Investigators seized a variety of items from the home after the victims' bodies were found about 3:50 a.m. Monday — cell phones, wallets, articles of clothing, computers, and other items from which they hoped to lift fingerprints. Detective Stooksbury said FBI agents were assisting the sheriff's office with the investigation. "They offered their help, and we gladly accepted," she said. "They're offering assistance with cell phone records and things like that, which they can get much more quickly than we can." In a series of 911 calls placed by Clarke's mother, Maytee Vasquez-Clarke, between 1:21 a.m. and 3:50 a.m. Monday, Mrs. Vasquez-Clarke told the dispatcher she feared her son was in danger because a friend of both her son's and his girlfriend said she had been talking with Clarke about 11 p.m. Sunday when she heard him say to an unknown person, "Who are you? What do you want? What are you doing here?" Neither the friend nor his mother was able to reach Clarke or Ms. Straub on their cell phones after that. Deputies were sent to the Straub home, but officers said they saw nothing out of the ordinary and did not feel they had cause to break into the house. Later, Clarke's father, John P. Clarke, boosted a family member up to look in a window and she saw the bodies. Mr. Clarke then kicked in the front door and found the bodies. Investigators spent the week looking into the victims' lives and talking with people who knew them to try to find out who murdered them so brutally. Among the things they are considering, Detective Stooksbury said, is the time Clarke spent in prison for convictions in Lucas County Common Pleas Court on two counts of robbery. "We're following up every aspect of both of these young people's lives and in that we are looking at his prison history and seeing if he had any problems while he was in prison or anyone connected with that who has been released from prison just as a process of elimination," Detective Stooksbury said. Clarke was arrested, along with Daniel St. Clair and Quintwez Sanders, in 2007 for robbing two men at gunpoint in two separate incidents in Toledo when Clarke was 18. In January, 2008, Clarke pleaded no contest to two reduced charges of robbery, a second-degree felony, and was sentenced to three years in prison by Judge Denise Dartt. In June, 2009, Judge Dartt granted Clarke's motion for early release and placed him on community control — or probation — for three years. St. Clair also was released early from prison, while Sanders, who was sentenced to six years in prison because he was carrying the gun, remains in prison. Detective Stooksbury said the attack on Clarke and Ms. Straub has shaken the community. "You see a homicide like this and everybody is quite alarmed that two young people died in such an awful way," she said. RE: Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered - curious - 02-05-2011 if the theory is the killer(s) entered through the garage you would assume that's how they exited. So my question is whether or not the garage door was open when police arrived on scene, and if not, maybe fingerprints can yeild who closed it upon their retreate. also, was it snowing during the hours of which the murders are presummed to have occured? If so, depending on how hard, that could be the reason for no footprints...and what about car tracks |
