I would say that the TPD has more officers, resources, scope, experience, etc. TPD has many many detectives...vice, gang unit, crimes against people, special victims unit, cold case unit, etc. Our sheriff is a crook...but that's a whole other topic! I'm not sure that the sheriff deputies are all that experienced in this type of crime...which is why the FBI got involved (or so I heard). our sheriff deputies here in lucas county mostly keep watch over the housing projects and the jail... in no way do I want to sound demeaning to them... they also patrol the country roads which are in lucas county and outside of toledo city limits... I don't believe that their detective bureau is as experienced or as big as TPD.... the city of holland has a very small police dept. I have NO idea on exact numbers though...

Yes, Ma'am. Sorry, I started that. There is a lovely thread about Toledo in case anyone would like to discuss a grievance in the correct forum. This thread IS about the case.

I'm a little disgusted by the mother milking the situation for unending sympathy. I'm also stymied about people who raise kids that get into tons of trouble and who are oblivious to the danger inherent in that kind of lifestyle. Why don't they step in BEFORE it is too late? Somebody dropped the ball.

From my experience with facebook messages, the timestamp on them is off 2-3 hours. I just got a message that says it was time stamped at 10:49 when it was really sent at 7:49.
